Kulu was 100% rushed back to playing once Son went out injured. He had just started being phased back into training and suddenly he was starting games out of nowhere.

The argument from our old head of medical that left last summer after a reported argument with Ange is starting to carry a lot of weight (that Ange rushes players back into playing after injuries).

Was he bollocks. He was eased back in from the bench for his first couple of games back, playing 45 and 35 minutes off the bench. Spent the next couple of games starting doing fuck all for 90 minutes.

Yamal is a 25 year old in a 17 year old’s body. Look at Rooney, he was a man at 16. Puberty strikes people differently, Moore looks like he is very much physically a teenager. Messi the best player of all time didn’t have the speed or strength to kick on till 19. Doesn’t matter how talented you are until your body is that of a man’s you won’t be able to dominate at men’s level.
Yamal looks his age. Doesn't mean everyone should be at his level but he's no freak physically

His strength and pace is way more than that of a normal 17 year old. I remember seeing Messi I think was 17/18 and he didn’t look that strong or quick, gets to 19 and he has a dramatic increase in power and pace. Young players reach physical maturity at different rates, Moore still looks in contact and explosiveness like a teenage not someone who is fully developed and that’s fine, we shouldnt pin our hopes on a 17 year old being ready, he will get there in the coming years.

I think it's funny how people hide behind luck. None of what's happened is simple luck. This is what inadequate physical conditioning looks like, it's what zero tactical periodisation looks like. Its what expediency over player welfare looks like, it's what national league level coaching looks like. The training ground, facilities, the stadium, Spurs is a Ferrari driven by 80 year old aunty Doris.
Agree but also under the hood aint a Ferrari engine

If he goes with what's available and doesn't chuck in a Moore or ajayi then I think he'll go with something like this

Vicario
Porro Romero VDV Udogie

Bentancur bissouma Sarr

Johnson Solanke Son

It lacks creativity in the middle but I think he'll just go with what he knows. Can't personally see him chucking a youngster into midfield myself.
Johnson and Son….aargh…Our only hope is the fact that Man Utd are rubbish and their strikers are pretty poor.

Not to mention that Yamal came up through La Masia whilst Moore came up at Hotspur Way. Not to sound like I am dunking on our own academy, but La Masia is a completely different animal. The training at La Masia is focused on the cerebral aspects of football. Their players know how to read the game so quickly that it feels like playing in slow motion.

The English system instead puts more focus on the physical aspects.

I don’t know why we don’t send young players there. Or parents don’t send their kids there. I would if my kid was a talented footballer, it’s pretty much the best learning place he could have. Worst case he doesn’t make it, the experience and learning will be a huge benefit.

Yeah can’t say I’m surprised.

What he says means nothing. He doesn’t have a clue at all, he’s just waffling. Most managers have the sense to wait a bit and say we don’t know at this stage.
"Yeah mate, listen mate, I'm a man of my word mate, and I'm Greek mate. I fucking hate that Segi meerkat, got me the fucking sack mate, and that Moose bastard got the Clears core ad mate. Fucking injuries"

IMO Spain produces the best creative midfielders in the game. I've wondered often why we haven't had more Spanish players in the squad?

Because we prioritise physicality over pure footballing talent. Spanish players usually play best with Spanish or Latin coaches which we also don’t have. When we did have them, they still struggled with the physicality required in the PL.
I forgot who it was that said the English midfielders regard tackling as a key skill. In Spain it’s a last resort.

On some level I assume that there's a similar reason for why we until recently haven't had a lot of Italians. They have a big enough domestic league that they take pride in. And even if the PL pays more you can still make a good living playing back home so no need to move abroad.
