That's a real shame and a concern to see him walking like that after all this time.
There are some here who don't seem to particularly rate him but I've always thought he is/was a fantastic player and has been a tremendous loss for us.

I don't think he really fitted Ange-ball but still scored, assisted and held on to possession superbly.
Stick him in a system that's not all about quick wingers and cut backs across the box, play him centrally or with licence to come inside and you see what he's really all about.

hes walking better bang after it, hows that make sense from an impact injury lol.

I'm not convinced this limp means much.
Pretty sure if he had that big of an issue, that he wouldn't have been caught on camera.

It's not the same, but I cracked my kneecap a couple of years ago, bruised the bone and punched a hole through the cartilage behind it.
It hurt like absolute hell for 4 or 5 minutes then I genuinely forgot I'd done it.
Until the next day when I went for a run. That first strike as put my foot down nearly sent me flying in agony.

It’s a strange one because I seem to remember back in Nov/Dec time he was giving cryptic clues on social media that were very suggestive of him being close to a comeback. Must have had a setback

Yeah it is odd, he said to the Swedish media in July, 2 months after his surgery that he was ahead of schedule and he'd have to wait and see if he would be back for September internationals or not. In September he said "I'm very confident that I will be on the pitch in two to three months".

He also was invisible many more times.
So...that's a no on the kindness.

Are we kind to every injured footballer?

Are they always kind to every fan going through, far, far worse?

Do we have to lie about someone because they are not well?

You can feel sorry for him, if you want, but don't rewrite history. Go back through this post and find plenty of posts saying he wasn't involved in games.
Just because there were plenty of posts saying the same thing, doesn't mean that it's correct.
Plenty of fans didn't, or couldn't see what Carrick brought to the team.

At one stage, he had the most assists in the league and was both a scorer and a creator.

I don't understand why some "fans" feel the need to shit on pretty much every one of our players.

There is no such thing as a perfect player, they all have strengths and weaknesses which is why intelligent team building and management is essential to any successful team.
That's our biggest weakness at the club, it's not the players, it's the leadership.

The bottom line is that nonr of us know what his medical situation is . The problem now might be completely different ( or possibly related ) to the one he originally sustained .

Surgeons ( and their teams ) can do amazing things these days . Lets be hopeful for his sake ( and ours ) .
