Player Dejan Kulusevski

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Playing in the US could showcase him to clubs.
He could still have a career there that’s for sure.

We had a young lad at our (semi pro step 5) team who went over and was playing in their equivalent of the championship.
In the uk he was playing 6 levels below the premier league!

That’s the standard of US football.
Where was he playing?

Below MLS the fact that professional football even exists is a testament to the growth of the game over here.

Not sure what any of this has to do with Kulusevski. He's either going to regain his fitness and be back to the top or he's not going to regain his fitness at all, it seems.

I don’t know where he went to. Think the club made a few social media posts about it but I didn’t bother following him.

Nothing too deep.
People are writing off Kulu altogether. I think he could still play MLS if his prem career is done.
I’d be amazed if he comes back to play in the premier league for us at the level he was before.

The brutal travel and weather in MLS, plus the physicality of the league and the odd plastic or otherwise dodgy pitch has long made it a notoriously bad environment for the fitness-challenged.

Plus his flicks and tricks creativity gets wasted with shit teammates.

It's a specific type of past-their-best player that thrives in MLS and Kulu ain't it.

It's your Troy Deeney-types that come here and look like Alan Shearer.

Fuck. Guess this means he won't play at all this season.

I think that was probably clear already.

More worrying is that Sweden, for whom Kulusevski is a key player, are now effectively saying they doubt if he will be fit for the World Cup which starts on 15 June and last for a few weeks.

He's such a key player that if there was a chance of him being available for later matches, I'd have thought they would include him in the squad - as England have done for key players in previous world cups.

That means in effect that Kuluevski is even a doubt for Spurs preseason too.

I'd hope we get some sort of update when Spurs preseason squad is announced ?

RDZ did say maybe next week.

He'll be massively disappointed, maybe he can make the bench in the role maddison had the last couple weeks.
Boost him and the team maybe

RDZ did say next week - but to be in the squad in a 'cheer leader'/non playing type role as Maddison had been doing for a few weeks.

I'm interested in Kulusevski playing, and his non inclusion by Sweden is a negative from that pov.

Potter would have been mad to take him just on reputation. No football in over a year, and no idea if he would even make it through a training session without breaking down.

Unfortunate for him as he'll be 30 when next WC comes

Didn't even make the provisional Swedish world cup squad. Poor fella. I've never seen an injury like it. He'll be out of action for atleast 18 months now. Maddison cameback, done his ACL and cameback again in the meantime!

With Madders, you could follow his progress on social media. Going to performance centres, do resistance training, back in first team training. All I've seen of Deki is a short video of him walking around in flip flops. There has to be a very good chance his top level career is done.
