Ex-Spurs Player Dele

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Maybe for you, but I read so much shit from you. "Oh I wouldn't be able to contain myself in the away end if we scored" and other bollocks. Believe me if you had the tiniest idea of English football culture you wouldn't be talking like that. And you want to bring your wife! Is she an ultra like yourself? You'd be eaten alive. Stop dissing our best players, sing some songs against Norwich, and show a bit of fucking humility. Jeez, you cheeky cunt.
Living in the midlands I've sat in 'their' end a few times and for my sins do it every year at old Trafford (lots of Manc friends) and as a group it's still a decent experience as they know the people around them and they all know I'm a yid but other year I was sat in the kop at anfailed - truly scary experience, add to that a friend (liverpoo fan) was sat in the away end with Spurs fans and we didn't realise we were both there until after the match it was a bad day 1-1 I think

Done it three times. Once at Old Trafford, once at Craven Cottage and once at Spam. Hated all thread experiences. Never again.

As gibbins once said: "I didn't think it would be you who has driven me off this forum" but there you go. I've had enough. This is no longer fun for me. Enjoy your trip to England, and I hope you're treated well.
Com on mate. The guy says some utter shit, but at least give him the benefit of the doubt of going to a game and experiencing it. You never know, it may reduce some of the garbage he talks talk. Abslutely nothing to leave the forum over. Don't do a sammy (or an Audere for that matter) .

First post here :) I really enjoy watching what I've seen so far. He's been very good overall and while he will make mistakes, that's to be expected from a 19-year-old in his first season in the Premier League. I do agree that while he was silly to get booked, it does bring the team together knowing he was standing up for a teammate. I was going to get a Kane shirt this year, but this kid has made my decision harder.

He will likely plateau at some point because he's probably never played so many games at this level. That's not to say he'll be done, but we will have to take the good with the bad. He's got a really bright future so I'm excited to see how he develops

I noticed it since 2/3 weeks ago the hype was starting to get into his head and affecting his game. He was subpar today just as last week. He's no doubt very talented but he needs to remain humble and keep on improving. He has a long way to go to become a top player.

Interesting to know your thoughts on his performance if we'd scraped out a 1-0 win.

Not sure if that's the problem since it wasn't just him that has looked a little poor lately. I wonder if there is a little complacency going on though, and maybe just a little bit of less intensity from Alli due to his foul and card issues already.

His individual performance was poor today irrelevant of the result.
But I imagine you wouldn't have wasted your time coming into the Dele Alli thread if we had won. The guy is 19 years old. In fact he wasn't even bad today and his best performance for us hasn't been much better than today other then in those games he may have scored.

Very true, and his contribution has been pretty poor for the last few games, and even on good days he invariably disappears after 60 minutes, a couple of weeks ago when Mason came on against West Ham he made about 6 less passes in 20 minutes than Alli had in the previous 70.

He's only 19, clearly he's got some ability, great attitude, good character and that hard to quantify thing - pitch presence - and he's got plenty of learning to do, but he's not been good for a while and playing him in the "10" or ACM role has affected the performances of Kane and Eriksen. He's too similar to Kane in terms of them both being big physical lads whose touch can be a bit clumsy at times, he lacks the intricate composure in the tight spaces of the opponents D, especially with Kane hustling and bustling in the same space, wanting to run into similar areas and occupy similar spaces, it's tactically not a good balance.

In a CM2 he doesn't see enough of the ball either, I think his best role is in the 433 he played for England where he doesn't have so much responsibility has more license to bomb into the box from deeper, hard to pick up, areas.

He needs a rest right now though, we need to find a better balance in that front four, Kane is cert, Eriksen is the only forward player we have with metronomic composure amongst all the youthful erraticness, he should be moved back to the ACM role where he can influence those around him better, even just doing simple but constant give and goes, dropping in and helping the CM's, Lamela is our most productive and hardest working without the ball, I think Son (or maybe N'Jie) needs to be played up there to give some pace and directness, so we have a better balance, instead of two players like Kane and Alli bumbling about sharing the same oxygen tank.

I wouldn't want him out of the squad. He just needs to know his place. I feel like he wants to take on every position on the pitch. Get the ball to Kane, and if Kane has the ball then get open for a potential pass.

I agree SoCalSpurs SoCalSpurs ...at the moment there's a lack of discipline in his play...he needs to be coached into an understanding with his teamates...but, hey it's his first season.
