You turn up for training everyday, you look after your body so you're always in top shape, you give it all you've got, you do everything you gotta do to get a look in...you play hard, you listen to the coaches, you ask questions etc. Plus the guys playing every week are either tired, out of form or just garbage...but still you don't get picked. Even when the vast majority of your teammates (and some coaches) say you should and your captain goes speak with the gaffer about you...and it doesn't change. You talk to the boss yourself and he tells you that you ain't doing nothing wrong, just keep going and your time will come...but it never does...or he throws you on at 90+4. It's friggin frustrating, heart-breaking stuff.

I hope behind closed doors the kid is getting a proper explanation from Ange, cause if he serves him that same bullshit he did the Gold stooge, well poor lad.

That was me during my last year of playing Floorball.

This was amateur level obviously so nowhere near the pressure of pro sports. But I was one of like 3 guys to move up to train and play with the first team from my U-18 team. But I got no game time and it was my last year of high school so I opted to drop out of the team to focus on my grades before uni.

The moment I tell the coach that I am quitting I am hit with the "but you're such a good worker and one of the most improved!" But I was still losing game time to some 34 year old with a beer gut and three kids who only showed up for one practice session every two weeks.

I wasn't a standout but I was definitely good enough to play off the bench in a division 6 team.

He also had a poor loan at Leeds where his attitude was called into question as has happened at all his previous clubs.

It’s not a complicated story. Talented lower league player has a poor attitude, gets signed by a big club and repeatedly loaned out as he can’t reach the expected standard of performance or behaviour.

said championship player wasn't signed by the current regime, yet the 18 year old championship player who was has already made 13 appearances for the club by December and started games against the likes of Roma and Galatasary?

I don't recall him having any problems at Rennes or Genoa, but maybe I forgot.

The lad quite probably isn't good enough and yeah maybe he's a knob...but why sign him in the first place then? Why is he still on our books? Why the new contract? It ain't all on the boy, the club has fucked up too.

Still, he's here now and he could do a job. Ange himself said he's fit and good enough to start a game, just not multiple ones. So play him ffs. Porro is tired, but mainly Udogie has been gash forever. And Gray is not a FB.

Only Levy would add an extra year to the contract of a nobody that could only attract a bid of £3m from Genoa.
 
It's actually quite baffling, that out of the three fullbacks we've got(Porro, Udogie, Spence) none of them are actually a fullback!!

All three of them are good attacking, but awful defending!! They would all be great as wingbacks.

So why are we playing a back 4, when we only got wingbacks in the squad??? And when Ange obviously prefers playing a back 4, why haven't we signed som actual fullbacks???

It feels like we can't even get the basic stuff right.
