A bad game today doesn’t take away from the absolute FACT he’s been excellent for us this season. Has fully deserved his place.
These people are crazy. He needs to show zero caution. He sat on his ass for over a year while poor players stunck up the place. Ive zero worries about any of this going to his head. Smells like more 'character' BS to me.
Agreed but I am saying that today is a big test. Have the plaudits made Spence think job done, or job just started

It does when persuading people to come to us. However i cant buy this. By this approach,imo, he risked serious injury with both Udogie and Porro constantly playing them.

If he played with a bit of agression and drive the fans would be a lot easier on him i think. Ineffective too often. Hes supposed to have pace but when was last time he destroyed someone with pace and beat them. To call a fan base fucked in the head is a bit much dont ye think.
We have some players who would have quit if they were in Djeds shoes.
Seems like he's trying to look good in the situation.
I doubt Djed was listening to the criticism so I doubt he’s listening to the plaudits either.
Ange pretty much said as much. Said Djed is a reserved steady character so people can assume that means he don’t care but what it also means is that he’s steady and the bigger challenges don’t faze him either.
Djed is just doing his thing regardless of the outside noise either way.

IMO you don't do that to coaches. I'd imagine when all's said and done, Djed will look at his time with Warnock as being at least necessary but I wouldn't be surprised if some part of him ends up with some gratitude. Even if Warnock was wrong, and he probably was, Djed will have learned from being sent away and having to prove him wrong. He will be mentally tougher for it.
I know I'm grateful to every coach or manager who told me I can't do something. Even if they didn't have my best interests at heart when they said it.
You can see what a good relationship Bergvall and Spence have. Great to see. I hope they’ll be in our team for many years to come.
