I believe it was an indicator of very low faith in him- Ange didn’t think he had a high ceiling.

Should Ange have gotten Spence involved more and earlier? It seems pretty obvious based on his performances this season.

The reason Ange has come up again because some has asserted Spence’s rehabilitation has come about because of Anges great coaching. Ange only used Spence as a last resort because Levy left him short in the squad. It’s hilarious that suddenly this is discovered by the usual suspects to somehow justify a belief that Ange is a great coach. That’s ridiculous- people are just refitting the facts to suit their desires.

Don’t worry- Ange is a great coach. I’m sure he’ll get us up to at least 12th before the end of the season.

I just don’t think you’re interpreting Anges statements about Spence correctly.

I normally respect your opinion and am extremely surprised to see you somehow be both Ange out a week ago (?) and now defending him as a great coach here.

I just don’t accept your interpretation of his statements and behavior as correct.

How fucking stupid does Spence's current form make that decision look with hindsight?

The fact that Farke did the same thing with Marcus Edwards, who also went on to do well when he was actually picked for the team at other clubs, says more about Spurs loaning out better players than they have in the team and Daniel Farke than it does about Spence and Marcus Edwards.

Spence is a better player than Royal, Udogie and Porro just as Edwards was a better player than Harry Winks.

The fact Spurs loaned Spence out and sold Edwards tells you more about Spurs under Levy than it does about either of these players.

Eh? I'm not "Ange Out". I've always been consistent in in my belief that he should be given the season unless either a) he loses the dressing room or b) We are in danger of being relegated. Even if he gets the season he'd have to win something or go on a 10 match winning run from here (or both) for me to want him to remain at the club.

But I'm also not "Ange In" - inasmuch as I completely understand why Spurs fans think he's not up to it. I respect and understand that position which is why I get on perfectly fine with many of the most vociferous Ange Outers like Deuterz Deuterz or The Extra Mile(sey) The Extra Mile(sey) and many others - not least because they are probably right. :D

I'm also quite frankly astonished Ange hasn't been sacked. It's the most un-Levy-like thing I've ever seen.

You see - i'm just sensible. And consistent. What I don't like is people - Ange In or Ange out - making up evidence free rubbish to push their agenda. Make a sensible argument I'll listen. This revisionism of the Spence redemption arc is, frankly, risible insulting garbage and it demeans you and others who push it..

Djed Spence is where he is today because of Djed Spence but also the fact that Ange Postecoglou gave him a second chance when the club was about to flog him to Genoa. This is simple fact.

What part of my post was "interpretation". It was fact. It's a timeline of Djed's season. He was given a second chance, he was starting from the bottom because that's just how it works when you're a fringe player; and he was building into the season nicely before he got a groin injury. It's all there - I've even had a pop at Postecoglou because he didn't trust Brandon Austin which cost Djed his place in EL squad.

But you haven't engaged with that post. Because for whatever reason its more important to you to slag off our manager in every single aspect of his tenure rather than just say "Fat fraud has fucked everything up but at least he kept Djed at the club"

It's not just wrong, it's fucking weird.

Just because you write a big post doesn’t make it correct. I need to trust my own understanding of the issue as it has progressed. The argument I see from you is revisionism.

I don’t want to waste time arguing pedantic details with you. Simply accept that I don’t agree Ange would have used Spence if he wasn’t forced to by injury.

And I really resent that you somehow attach my name to low level Ange name calling- I’ve never derided him as a “fat fuck” or anything of the sort- for you to accuse me of that is gross and despicable.

In fact I have found reason to praise him in certain ways including that I like the idea of his football and think it almost works.

But to say I’m attached to calling him a fat cunt or things of that sort- disgusting- you can do better than that.

Spence was being integrated into the first team squad while both Porro and Udogie were fit and starting. It was Spence himself getting injured in late October through early November that stopped that progress.

When he made his first start against Southampton both Porro and Udogie were fit. Porro on the bench and Udogie starting.

You're wrong. Your entire thesis is factually incorrect. And your refusal to engage with reality is now becoming embarrassing.
