Guy does well for a few games and he’s world class.

No real acceptance for having a poor run, playing through injuries, changes in the team, luck, teams played, mental state, etc. Just knee jerking for the sake of it.

2) 2023/24 figuring out the best position for him in Ange's first season
Deki actually put in some decent performances last year when playing centrally but did so, if I remember correctly, without Maddison, Bissouma and Bentancur supporting due to their injuries.
So yeah, now he is up to speed, playing for a coach who is setting him up to use his footballing strengths, and playing alongside footballers of similar intelligence, I'm gonna circle jerk the shit out of this thread and fuck anyone who tried to stop me

He was actually atrocious when tried in the 8 role a couple of times last year. One of them was Chelsea away where he touched the ball about 3 times.
And he wasn't all that good in our first four games this season either (wasn't even picked to start the first one and played ten minutes).
He was OK against Brentford and very good against ManU.
Lets wait ands see he can string 9-10 really good games together before we get carried away.
Absolutely we want to keep him. He needs to primarily be used in that attacking number 8 role or as a false 9 though. Definitely not out on the RW.
