Same as any other player or manager thread really.

Guy does well for a few games and he’s world class.

Guy does shit for a few games and he’s shite.

No real acceptance for having a poor run, playing through injuries, changes in the team, luck, teams played, mental state, etc. Just knee jerking for the sake of it.

Anyone playing or managing for our club is top quality, or they wouldn’t be here. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t.

He looked shit at RW for a while because he is never a RW in Ange's system.

Looked good as a false 9 and now even better as an attacking 8. Has all the qualities to play central and we are now seeing his true quality.

It was completely valid to consider selling him when he didn't look like a fit for the system but Ange has now made tweaks and he looks great.

It's the same illogical argument used with Johnson. Because he has now scored 4 in a row we are supposed to pretend he hadn't been stinking the place out for months?

Yup, disregard the last 2 years of absolute shit folks and base all your current circle-jerking on 6 games where we didn't play ANYONE remotely good or able to limit his space. More games to come for you to exercise your good faith analysis folks. I'll be looking for most of you then.

Yeah, i think it is easy to disregard

1) 2022/23 where Conte-ball even made Harry Kane look shite
2) 2023/24 figuring out the best position for him in Ange's first season

Deki actually put in some decent performances last year when playing centrally but did so, if I remember correctly, without Maddison, Bissouma and Bentancur supporting due to their injuries.

So yeah, now he is up to speed, playing for a coach who is setting him up to use his footballing strengths, and playing alongside footballers of similar intelligence, I'm gonna circle jerk the shit out of this thread and fuck anyone who tried to stop me

It's the way of sports fans on the internet. Everything is black or white, as good as possible or as woeful as possible.

It's often the same people who can be found saying everyone else we have is also trash. We can't very well cast Kulu off if everyone else is also useless, as these very online people seem to think

He was actually atrocious when tried in the 8 role a couple of times last year. One of them was Chelsea away where he touched the ball about 3 times.

And he wasn't all that good in our first four games this season either (wasn't even picked to start the first one and played ten minutes).

He was OK against Brentford and very good against ManU.

Lets wait ands see he can string 9-10 really good games together before we get carried away.

Fuck off. He’ll play 9 great games and you’ll admit to one of them.

Then when he becomes the first player to score a back heel from midfield, you’ll claim it was unnecessarily complex and he should have just shot normal style.
