As a team we score quite a few goals but those chances fall to other players, the system isn't built for a striker, it's built for the striker to facilitate others.

I'm not arguing that he will score 19, I'm arguing that you dismissed the fact he scored 19 goals in a setup to get the best out of him.

You get the point here surely, yeah Solanke was overpriced but it's a symptom of the state of the market not the player.

I don't mind Solanke but Id expect at least 15 Premier League goals per season to justify his fee as our record signing.

I mean look how far down this list he is. he's on the same as 38 yr old Jamie Vardy who is getting relegated.

Well, he was injured for a huge chunk and he does about 50x the amount of work without the ball that Vardy does. If you just stand there waiting for your turn to make a run and score, it’s much easier to score goals

Mins per goal Solanke would have the same rank the same

And - you could just as easily say about Solanke - if you stand around waiting for tap ins - it's easy to score goals .
The list is instructive - Solanke is a wonderful player - if you compare him to no one else

If we win the EL the fee would be entirely justified...(not that's its a good idea trying to justify performances over one season)

Far too simplistic

We’ve scored plenty of goals and he’s a part of that with his hold up play, movement and effort
 
Whether it Solanke or whoever they’ve a hard act to follow with Kane , nobody is going to replicate his achievements we have to just appreciate what he (Solanke) does or who ever else it is in the future……we won’t get another Kane
 
We need a proper 9 next season, to play ahead of Dom. Or even alongside him...two up top used to be a thing and it used to bloody work, fuck Pep and his 4-3-2-1 revolution bullshit.

Had we gotten Osimhen in, we wouldn't be 17th & struggling for goals.

I like Dom and respect his dedication, but 65 mil for him...fuck me.

If Solanke does what Kane couldn't manage in a big big game, then I don't give a sh!t

Next season he needs more help than he has had this season,where people jumped to baseless expectation.

He didn't set the price.

I don’t mind him but 65m after 1 good season was nuts. As if we had to go that high to get him. He isn’t young either.
To be fair to him it’s been a shut season for the team & we don’t have much creativity. So hopefully if we sign a few creative players he will get more chances & more goals!

We don't know how to spend, we're friggin elite at spunking big wads on average players.

Richy for 60 bags, Johnson for 50, Madders for 40, same sum on Gray, 35 on Biss, Dragusin for 30...let's not forget the 60 we splashed on Ndombele, 40 odd on Lo Celso, that 20mil deal for Bryan friggin Gil, 15 on Veliz...

I know it’s crazy how high we go for players. As if Leeds wouldn’t take 30/35m for gray, forest 40m for Johnson, Everton 50m for rich etc . & if they won’t, then we move on to another target. I think most of those we weren’t even in a bidding war but just went really high for some reason. & people go on about ‘they got levy’d”. Oh & we gave them Lamela as well as 20m for gill!
