Player Dominic Solanke

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

he gets no service but at the end of the day he's not good enough and just like richy I can't see us getting rid anytime soon. We're stuck with him until he's in the last year of his deal or he runs down his contract in 2029.

I’d be starting Richy centrally as he’s much more of a threat in the air from a set piece or cross.

I also think he’d be more of a nuisance to their centre backs as Solanke seemed absolutely anonymous yesterday.

Our front three are impotent, but Richy looks the most likely to put it in the net.
Totally agree and this genuinely has nothing to do with the fact that I recently put him in my FF team in the desperate hope that he'd be honoured by this gesture and be willing to steps things up a gear or three.

Very much improved performance today, one of our better players
Really? To me it looked like he was continually making the wrong movements (again) and barely got into any positions where his midfielders could find him. The ball in from the left side from Udogie I think it was that was clear just past the front post - he should have been there 100% as any good striker would tell you.

Always does pretty well physically but he needs to be much much better with making himself available in dangerous positions. This is where Richarlison is much better than him, albeit without any of the link-up play you get from Dom.

Never where he needs to be. You never expect him to score. Again today he does what he always does. Runs around a bit, looks busy, but doesn't actually contribute much.

Tier 2 Championship football next season will be more his level.

He had one decent run with the ball today..
Which is better than nothing and normal
But really such a limited player.
A horrible buy..
Him and Richarlison eptimise our wretched football over the last couple of years.

At least Richy gives himself a chance by getting into the right positions at times, limited as he is. Solanke’s movement in and around the box is almost non existent

He's a terrible PL striker.

Such a gigantic waste of money.

Similar to Brennan johnson he was one Ange pushed for. It’s where our recruitment let us down again. The fact he’d bombed at every big club he’d played for was a massive red flag which we ignored. A crazy signing when that should have been taken into consideration.

Got to sell him in the summer as I’m sure someone else will be stupid enough to sign him just like they were with johnson. Palace could be that club actually.

I thought that last season, he got hardly any service, whereas this season, i just think he's not very good. Apart from the two he got against City, he's hardly contributed.
I'm no tactician and this may be a daft opinion, but if he's a target man, surely he should be in the box more.

My impression of him is that he's a decent footballer but not a particularly good striker. Admittedly he's not getting much service but regardless he lacks that striker's instinct in the box and is utterly incapable of creating anything for himself. He played OK today - neat and tidy on the ball - but I don't recall him having a single shot on goal.

Get the impression that season at Bournemouth really was just a one-off thing, or he happened to really suit that one specific system under Iraola.

If we go down I wouldn't rush to move him on as he really should boss the Championship, but he's clearly not the answer long term and wasn't worthy of the 60m we spent on him (not that you get much up top for 60m these days...).

Don't play him or Richarlison.
Play an extra midfielder and a false 9.
Sarr or Simons.
There is absolutely nothing to lose.
Against Sunderland Solanke touched the ball about 12 times - gave it away most of the time - and had a low passing accuracy.
