You hit the nail on the head. The market has changed, as markets do. If his performance from the past season is repeatable, and there's little reason to believe it isn't, sixty million is a fair price. It also puts Postecoglou in position to demonstrate that his system works. If you don't get him a striker of Solanke's ability how will you know if it does or doesn't? I'm excited about the signing and I imagine it gives the team a morale boost knowing there's a threat through the middle Spurs didn't have before.

I'm fairly positive about Solanke - he fits the profile we need; a physical striker with a bit more presence was something we majorly lacked last season. He's a strong presser and that will fit into our system too.
I guess my reservation is his career goal record is very up and down, but if he can continue where he left off for Bournemouth this will prove to be a good signing.
Given his goal record for Bournemouth and being PL proven I understand the fee, good strikers are like gold dust and you will always overpay for them in today's market.

Underwhelming name but when you look deep he fits what we want and has quite afew impressive goals

I try to be as positive as possible all the time, but from highlight videos he seems to have the shooting prowess of Gabriel Jesus. I hope I’m wrong.
Jesus has never scored more than 14 EPL goals on far superior teams.
