There's been quite a bit of transfer fee inflation in the intervening years.Son has actually accomplished something here and he didn't even cost half of Solanke
SolankeSolanke is one of very few that can hold their heads up so far this season
Murphy - I agree with much of your postage, but Kane is well past his prime. Still a lethal finisher yesKane is the best striker on the planet. He is not past his prime.
Sarr has made mistakes because the system is ugly in him he has worked hard and fought for his team. He deserves to have some respect on his name. But do it the other way who have been shocking?Solanke
VdV
Bergvall
Gray
Kulu
Vic
Davies
Just about ... Maddison
That's it.
Yes, I forgot about him. Sarr probably just makes the list. I think there's an excellent player there with a new coach.Sarr has made mistakes because the system is ugly in him he has worked hard and fought for his team. Son was about 25 m I think or 30m in EUR. But true prices have come up a lot since then. 65 m may not be as much as it sounds. There's been quite a bit of transfer fee inflation in the intervening years.
The 2 fees are quite possibly close in value?
I wouldn't write off that many of our players. They were able to go top of the league last season. Unbeaten for 10 games. They can't all have declined that dramatically in one year due to biological factors.Yes, I forgot about him. Sarr probably just makes the list. Shocking:
Werner (by far the worst IMO)
Richie
Not nearly good enough:
Romero
Son
Johnson (decent in first 10 games tho, so maybe this is a bit harsh).
Bissouma
Bentancur
Udogie
Porro
Dragusin
That’s fair. Everyone’s allowed their opinion.Murphy - I agree with much of your postage, but Kane is well past his prime. Still a lethal finisher yes
I'm not writing them off. I'm saying they've underperformed this season. Actually like all of themI wouldn't write off that many of our players. They were able to go top of the league last season. Oh it's just 12th place-- merely a flesh wound. Everyone can hold their heads up high that many wins were successfully coached.Solanke is one of very few that can hold their heads up so far this season

As for Solanke- thank goodness he left that miserable rat-hole Bournemouth to join the progressive and attacking Tottenham Hotspurs EFFed C.

That’s just not a logical post at all.Solanke could turn out to be one of our worst ever signings , not because he is that bad
But because he cost£65m and is always picked.
He is a mediocre - no other top 6 or even top 8 club would buy him.
He has been better than I thought he would be - and is in course for around 12 goals and three assists . Which is not good enough for someone who plays all the time - for a top 6 club.
It might even be better if he was very bad - then he would be dropped.
But being just mediocre - means because of the fee -he will play. Which means for the next couple of years we will have an average player as our main front player. It shows a lack of ambition and judgement .
Buy bottom half players - and you become a bottom half team
Also easily our most consistent in terms of availability, effort and performance. That’s just not a logical post at all.
He’s been run completely ragged because his backup (who cost just as much) is injured 100% of the time and there’s literally no one else that’s competent. We’d be even worse without him.
He starts every game because the other options are miles off his level. He’s not going to single-handedly win games like Kane could and you have to accept that he’s a pretty good player and not a superstar.
Hes easily the best all around player in the front 3 most games.
definitely Sarr on the whole.Solanke
