Oh, so no comfirmation bias here then?
You;'ve obvioulsy wanted him to fail because you never liked him in the first place.
Arsemania for you?

On the record as saying I never wanted Toney and did want Solanke.
Regularly wrong but I was on the right side of history this time
Yeh.... Never wanted Toney... He ended up where he belongs(*).
(*Although I can understand a late bloomer taking maximising their likely one and only big payday more than some guy that's spent their whole career raking in prem millions already.....)
Totally agree - if a few others had his desire and work rate we'd be higher up the table.Guy has been an excellent signing for us. Works his bollocks off too. Long may it continue.
i feel exactly the same about him. hes missing that ruthlessness in the box to be an elite striker, but his all round game and work rate means he always offers his side a positive in winning a game. if we get to the point where he becomes the weak link then we are a serious side!
to be fair tho, hes not had much of a chance in the box due to his wide forwards being so fucking shit.
i think hes at least a top 6 striker to be honest. lets not forget his service has been shit really, hes had son, johnson and werner supplying him! any striker is going to struggle to score goals when thats your service. Is he a top 4 or 6 striker? If he isn't - we need someone else to at least challenge him for a place.
The most frequently used attribute used about him is " he works very hard ".

Yes.....
Last season:
21 G (inc pens) / 4A
Current:
27 apps (all comps) / 11 G / 6 A (no pens)
17 EPL apps / 7 G / 3 A
If he stays fit; he'll comfortably double that and clock 15 G / 6 A (EPL).
Didn't you want Zirkee over solanke? On the record as saying I never wanted Toney and did want Solanke.

Nah
A proper striker..problem is since our club has been terrible, he will probably leave within a year or 2 after getting a good offer.Guy has been an excellent signing for us. Works his bollocks off too. Long may it continue.

Why does CL football seem like a dream now? lol
We bought him on last years form.
Thougout his career he is 1 in 4.5 goals and 1 in 10 assists.
15g and 6a would be decent.
What should a striker playing nearly every min of every game get?
Broken down to assists and goals per min - Madison does better than him. Solanke is about 25th in the pl.
He is a good player - and a reasonable addition to the squad - is he good enough to be a certain starter? No, not on his history.
If he gets better - which is possible - then maybe he will be.
If you're going to slay him with stats then at least get them right. According to fbref, he has 92 non-penalty goals from 22,037 career minutes which is a goal every 2.7 90's. Also 36 assists which is one every 6.8 90's.
