He was always very good for us...always.
People got upset for no reason, when he got a chance he nearly always scored. He played Angeball where he was instructed to run around like a headless chicken instead of focusing on being in the right position. He was creating his own fucking chances last season because the system absolutely crippled us and him.
Him and Richi will both score goals if given service. Hell they both can score without any service. The problem has never been up top, it's the wide positions where we don't create enough and the cm position where we don't have a progressive passer to initiate play.
Get a very good left sided player to play on the other side of Kudus and get a creative Cm and watch how many goals Solanke and Richi can score.

Anyway, fact is he has been superb since coming back. If he stays fit then this guy can become one of the top strikers in the PL.

4 goals in his 5 games since return.
Overall 88 minutes per goal this season and overall he has now 20 goals and 8 assists for us across 3750 minutes played for us.
A goal or assist for every 134 minutes. IN addition to good hold up play and excellent pressing.
So not one goal. Consistent contributions. Only a total dumbfuck could not think further than 1 goal or 1 game.

Him scoring a couple of goals doesn't change the fact that he's nowhere near the standard we should be looking to as our number 9.

Anyway, Giroud's was in a nothing game against 17th placed Palace wasn't it, with barely a soul around him!
