Hmmmmmm...

Not if it's another team though!

No idea why ypu say Newcastle as opposed to any side who meets a club valuation.

Promoting Lankshear doesn't seem to improve us in the slightest, so I don't understand that thinking per se.

No doubt at all that Howe has been disappointed with Wissa, and maybe the young German is just finding the transition to the PL and weight on his shoulders a bit too much for now.

Solanke needs to stay fit but that looks less and less likely, and I just think we need a better main striker, although I would keep Solanke, plus a better striker if that was within the club's gift.
Because the rumours are Newcastle.

The promotion of Lankshear is to #2 striker.

Ah okay.

If we stay up one of the things I really hope we do is raise the bar of the squad's quality. I think it's really important.

That can be done in a few ways, one being the acquisition of a couple of high quality players.

I think until we know for sure all bets are off on what happens to the squad, but I am not enthused at the idea of Lankshear being our number 2 striker.

Another one to look to sell in the summer. Been a disaster really as he cant stay fit.

We need to be cutting our losses on these players.
So half our squad then??

No Problem Reaction GIF

I DO want to change half our squad, but not for that reason.

I think we should seriously consider looking into why we have a ridiculous amount of injurys year after year.
Is it something with the playing surface at the stadium, the training ground, or both? Because it's not normal.

Lankshear scoring 8 league goals, in a relegation side, that tends to park the bus in no small feat at 20.

If we can somehow convince a very good striker to replace Solanke/Richarlison, that's prime dealing. Can't see it though.

Really think we missed the boat with Endrick in winter.

If you speak with any Championship expert, they speak very highly of Lankshear. So much so he is linked with 2 of the best sides in that league now.

I would say very lucky to be in the England squad. He'll do well to make the final 26 but has a big chance now if Tuchel already rates him higher than Watkins and thats after missing 90% of the season through injury! DCL won't be easy competition to shake off either

It's about who can give you tactical flexibility as a substitute really, a quite different question than who's the more prolific line-leading striker for a league campaign.
