WTF?

Cardiff City tried to take out £20m insurance on Emiliano Sala the day after he was killed in a plane crash, say papers filed to the High Court.

Apparently insurance brokers failed to tell Cardiff the player was not insured - maybe if they had known he was about to be signed they might have insured him ?

Alistair Schaff KC told the High Court that Cardiff City contacted insurers regarding Sala on 22 January 2019, the morning after his flight went missing off the coast of Alderney.

Mr Schaff said the club made contact via email seeking £20m coverage for Sala.

Just bizarre behaviour from Cardiff City's owners !

Cardiff have now lost all the legal challenges, appeals and referrals to CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport) over non payment of the transfer fee, and have also been told to pay al Nantes legal fees.

So what do Cardiff do ?

Cardiff City will continue to seek damages and compensation from FC Nantes. The Welsh club have released a statement that reveals that they have prepared a separate legal action which will be started straightaway “as FC Nantes must be held responsible for the accident organised by their agent.” An investigation has indeed been opened in France following a complaint from Cardiff City’s lawyers. The legal proceeding relates in particular to the role of the player’s agents Willie McKay, Bakari Sanogo and Baba Dramé in the organisation of the tragic flight.

Cunts.

At this rate they'll be spending more on legal fees than the cost of the transfer.
