Random English supporter: "Pep is a boring, bald fraud...he's killing football...plus he lacks integrity working for oil slavers and cheating the system"

Random English supporter were this ever to happen: "We're gonna win everything...Pep's the greatest ever and he's putting England back where we belong...plus, he's been here so long he's practically English"

For when? He will get 30 for Bayern I suspect but sorry, a striker is supposed to be a threat. Compared to his former self, he’s miles off. He was a rampaging blockbuster of a player, who adapted into a skilful poacher but both of those are gone. Can still finish obviously but can’t create chances for himself anywhere near like he used to

Exactly this. He's no longer a world class player. He's a world class finisher. There's a big difference between the two. Create lots of chances for him and he will score lots of goals. But as of now, defenders would much rather come up against a static Harry Kane than Watkins who can run in behind and run the channels. Watkins won't score quite as many perhaps but he will certainly create space for our other attackers far more.

Ah, Tuchel.

The man who was in charge for half the season when PSG finished runner up in a one team league. (actually had them 3rd when sacked).

And the guy who guided Bayern to their worst season in 13 years and managed to finish 3rd in a one team league.

However, England don't compete in no league. And he managed to guide a terrible Chelsea team to a CL win so maybe he is the right sort of profile this England team need. A cup manager who can raise a teams game for one off matches.

Welcome back to the England squad, Eric Dier

He's not perfect but he's a big upgrade on Southgate and Carsley. England don't have a great back line regardless who is picked so Southgate was right all along in giving us a more defensive shape to remedy that. Being a moments team nearly won us two tournaments. Tuchel has it in his locker to make the right calls in a final considerably more than Gareth Southgate.

We can agree on that.

Tuchel has been shown up big time over the last few years in terms of being an absolute wankstain, but only being with the England team a few weeks of the year and having to get them tactically right for the big games will likely work in his and the teams favour.

It's whether or not he doesn't manage to piss the players and the FA off within that time.
