Ah yes , the chairmen’s statement “Clubs DNA ….”

Whatever happened to the promised Club Advisory panel ? Where a fan /fans sat on the board & have a voice & vote on key issues .

Did that ever happen ( I genuinely don’t know)

My distain for the little twat started in 2007 it’s built from there with numerous missed opportunities, misguided decisions , trying to move to the Olympic stadium showed what little respect he has for the club

Well, he wanted to move the stadium to the Olympic site (the existing stadium would have been knocked down and rebuilt) - but yeah, he did the maths and concluded it would have been cheaper and generated more corporate revenue if the club was moved there. Much of the logic behind that play was non-football with the use of the stadium as a conference centre outside of matchdays. He can't do the same at WHL because of the transport infrastructure and general location.

One of my family members met with Levy regularly during the planning so I got to hear what was going on.

I was always suspicious from the start of their ownership and had very little confidence. Of course l was hoping things would be different but never really believed top 4 or a new stadium would make them more ambitious.
My fear was what a train wreck in Athens they had caused with AEK , l have a good friend there who told me the pain and discord they caused amongst their fan base .

For them it has been a great achievement as the value has increased by billions for little investment. For legacy fans a disaster.

Something is rotten at the club, and everyone needs a scapegoat. Over the last two decades we have been in 14 semi-finals, made it to six finals and only won one of them.

We have appointed world class coaches, purchased elite players and have the best facilities in World Football.

But, time and time again, every season we are wrecked by injuries. This season alone we have been without Lloris, Richy, Kulu, Bissouma, Bentencaur, Sess. Even Royal gets knobbled the moment he finds form.

Indeed, My neighbour was on the council at Haringey. The opposition to the WHL development was huge and the club were forced to look for alternative sites. There were 3 they were working on as a contingency; including the Olympic stadium and one in Epping.

Injuries are not the reason why we couldn't beat Southampton, Everton or Bournemouth, or going out the cups to lower league opposition.
There is a fundamental flaw in the decision making and planning process at the club, along with the players having the courage of a mouse.
There are so many deep rooted issues, but the club is in a bad way, who honestly would want to come here.

Injuries are not a new thing , I’m sure most clubs have a rough idea what the average season number of long term injuries are and plan for that by strengthening the squad , it is a multi million pound industry after all . We seem to lose a player & we’re down the the bare bones of quality . That’s neglect

They have no idea how to win.
This is me spitballing. But it seems like Daniel expects sporting success to be linear, similar to his non sporting endevaours where he has done well. He probably reasons that he has invested in players that "should" come good.

The problem is obviously that sports doesn't work like that and if that is how he thinks then he is unsuited to making sporting decisions.

for me most of my time supporting spurs we have had mentally weak players, guys who are just not willing to take a bang in the face to win the ball or score a goal
mentally weak or spursy call it what you want
last time i think we had a team that had players would run though brick walls was 87,
in the early 70's it felt like home games we would always win away would lose at the big clubs
then mid 70's onwards we started being spursy, maybe other teams started to catch up
yes since 87 we have had solid players in the teams but they didn't translate their mental stength to others in the team ( Jan & Toby solid players but others in that team were weak/unwilling to put everything in to win)

He really is an absolute joker isn't he. He just doesn't get it on so many levels and he's in a job that he's not made accountable for his actions.

The man told us he understand the importance to the fans to have a coach that plays an attack minded brand of football then hired Nuno Espirito Santo.

The man sacks a coach then installs the assistant of the coach as the new interim manager knowing they have the same ideology/football philosophy.

The man imposes a transfer ban on us for 2 windows (i presume as a cost saving excercise) meanwhile decided to make himself the highest paid chairman in the league.

The man appoints a DOF knowing full well he's under investigation for being corrupt.

The man hires a coach knowing his mind set, knowing he wants to be in control of everything and knowing he has a history of being petty. He then decides the best course of action knowing this information (as well as having a DOF already in place) is to take lead on the signing of a RWB (that is massively important in the formation we play) and insist on a player the coach doesn't want.

With him at the helm we are well and truly fucked.

*apart from the 2 major trophies we won*

We know that we cannot compete with the salaries and spending of City, Chelsea and United. (Will Newcastle join the $ club?). Our competition is Woolwich, Liverpool, and now Newcastle.

There was never any intention from the owners to ‘do a Chelsea’ and spend unlimited money. We were going to do things the right way and spend sensibly. It is Levy’s job now to focus on reforms of the premier league to restrict the spending of the $$$ clubs to level the playing field.

So, in answer to the question.

Levy’s position becomes untenable when he fails to use his position and influence in the Premier League to enforce new rules on spending to ensure the competition is competitive. If Chelsea and City’s spending goes unpunished and, Newcastle are allowed to spend unlimited $$$ building a world class squad – Levy has failed and Spurs are no longer a top 4 competing club.
Utter balderdash, of course we can compete with wages now, we have a 62000 seater stadium that brings in a million every home game, we have events and tourist attractions bringing in millions on non match days. Those events bring in more revenue than the vast majority of other clubs can ever dream about.
This lame argument is now a myth. We're one of the richest clubs in the world and we are over the covid too. There are no more excuses for the little, bald anti-Christ any more. The truth is enic want to siphon off as much as they can, they care nothing of success on the pitch beyond getting their grubby little hands on CL money.
How much longer are the enic supporters going to try and present this fantasy land where we will be always be the underdogs and skint to boot. Poch took us to the CL 4 years running and to a final. Do you honestly believe the media saw us as underdogs then? Of course not we were one of the big 4 until Levy blew a gasket and bottled it because he would have been forced to actually show ambition on the pitch instead of just for his own, and enic's bank account.

I saw some goals from the 92/3 season the other day and whilst we only finished 8th it was an exciting season, we took some pummelings but it was great to see Anderton, Barmby, Sheringham coming through. 94/5 with Klinsmann was entertaining, 90/91 FA cup win with Gascoigne. I enjoyed all 3 of those seasons more than the last 4. At least it still felt like Tottenham, warts and all, not a posh Stoke or Burnley. We've completely lost all identity.

What I don’t get is how can the club’s board not know the clubs history. How can we have appointed Ramos, AVB, Jose, Conte, Nuno, Santini, Stellini. The very opposite of the club, it’s bizarre, the club is a shambles without a core identity.
