We've got super Danny Levy

He knows exactly what we need

Dier at the back , Richarlison in attack

spurs on their way to champions league

Calling out all real pwoper fans

Let's get this sung at the first home game of the season and show Daniel that he is universally loved and it's only a handful of virgins in their parents basements that want him out

COYS 💪

Little reminder that our board thought it was a good idea to sack the hated, despised manager and toss the keys to his lanky, mute, ugly hob goblin disciple.

Wtf

I thought writing off a season via Sherwood was laughable, this was worse. He’s learnt nothing - get in the fire and take your shitcunt, wanker echo chamber with you

A listed company would have forced these incompetent failures out years ago.

Fuck off Cullen, fu k you Collecot and fuck you Lecy and your cunt son thieving a £0.5m salary. Go

Tell that to Luton.

Chucked out the leagues altogether however many years ago, they worked their way back up through hard work and now made it to the PL. I watched their qualifying game. More soul and glory in it than anything I've seen up the top end of the PL.

There's a lot more to football in England than us so-called big 6 teams.
So in order to preserve the romanticism of a Luton coming up once a decade to get tonked and sent back down, you're content to have the same 2 clubs from the same city win 15/23 PL titles?

Because there really isn't anything other than a closed structure that can prevent the monopolosation of trophies in the commercial age. FFP benefits the richest clubs, not the other way around, because it locks in their financial advantage over everyone else. There's no way to institute spending caps that level the playing field without creating a closed structure. The clubs that don't want it will merely legally argue that doing so creates a great peril for their investment which they never agreed to. If someone wanted to create an ESL, ramming through a spending cap significantly below the top 6's revenue level is a guaranteed way to do it.

The reality of football selling its soul is arriving, and I get that it's ugly and no one wants it and it contradicts everything that's wonderful in the sport. But it started a long time ago and has merely progressed along a predictable course. 30 years ago the PL broke away, which was one of the last straws.

I'd rather forego Luton and watch a league where there's a real chance at the beginning of the season that 10 or more clubs could actually win the title, than have a Luton pop up occasionally to distract from the fact that the competition is a complete farce and the same fucking team is going to win yet again.

To each their own I guess.

I find closed shops with administratively guaranteed parity more boring by the year.
What do you find exciting about the current PL then? Because it's the definition of boredom. 15 of the last 23 titles have been bought by Manchester, 5 of the remaining 8 were bought by Chelsea.

3 titles in 23 years were won by the whole rest of England. That's completely boring, just the same 3 teams buying the same trophies year in and year out.

Guess who is gonna win next season? City.

You don’t get the English game then. We have leagues. Each team in each league fights to gain entry into the one above. Some, like Huddersfield, have excellent grounds and facilities; others, like Luton, don’t. But they all still have a fighting chance to qualify for the prize.

It’s a simple system that sadly has been fucked at the very top somewhat by greed and doped plastic teams like chelsea and city, but there is still glory to be found in it as a whole.

I have fuck all interest in a closed-off super league that will probably end up in Saudi Arabia in 20 years time. Fuck that shit. Spurs are an English team in an English system that works ok.

I've been to non PL football matches, my friend. Hell, I listen to non-league matches on the radio because I can't watch them. I get English football. I love English football, and it's miles better where it still exists outside of the Premier League.

My point is merely that all you have left at this point is an illusion of competition. The traditionalists console themselves with the statement that there is nothing legally preventing Luton Town from winning the league title. They tell themselves that this is what makes the sport great. But it's merely an empty statement. There's technically nothing preventing me from shagging Gal Gadot, either. But there's no actual realistic chance of either happening - its all a fallacy.

I would rather have a larger group of clubs with realistic opportunity to compete than have hundreds of clubs subscribed to the same illusionary opportunity to compete.

You fucked up creating the PL and there's no way back. A closed structure makes the best of the shit state that the game is in now. It's gonna end up in Saudi, anyway - just look at who is buying the clubs now.

Luton are obviously not winning the PL title. Their glory was qualifying for the PL league, which is a huge achievement given their size and facilities.

If the PL was hollowed out, we wouldn’t see the David and Goliath matches that Luton vs City provide. Goliath and Goliath in the middle east is the last thing I’m interested in that’s for sure.

Someone will eventually slay City through their own ingenuity and collective endeavor, with City retaining every advantage on earth.

The Denver Nuggets will pick last in the NBA Draft and the salary cap will force some of their players onto other teams. Why do I care when someone new wins?
Why do you care when someone else gets promoted or relegated? You either care about what happens outside of your club or you don't, regardless of the league. I, in general and across all sports, don't. If I don't have a rooting interest, I'd rather be doing something else.

Probably a contributing factor in my stance - I couldn't care less about what happens in English football outside of Tottenham and D&R. It's nice, of course to see Woolwich lose and laugh at Spam when possible.

But I'm not really fussed about anything else and don't waste time watching/consuming football outside of that. My interest in the sport, outside of that, extends to Fiorentina and my local USL club. And that's pretty much it. I may watch a single football match a year that doesn't involve one of those 4 clubs.

I won't watch Luton v City, so could not care less. Not interested in who finishes 12th, 16th, or 20th. No more interested in that than who finishes 3rd or 6th. I couldn't tell you right now where Chelsea finished, just know the cunts finished behind us and that's good enough for me.

My only interest in the political and economic side of football is what gives Tottenham the best chance at winning a league. The current economic system of football precludes that in all reality, thus I'm a proponent of change. It's also why I've always wanted Spurs left out of the ESL when it comes to fruition. I'd be much happier with a shot of winning the English league than making up the numbers in the ESL. Sooner the dopers fuck off, the better IMV.

Just flatly wrong.

An economic system that orders teams by their ability to generate revenue which can be spent on players without any provision for anyone else puts Tottenham with as strong a position to reach the apex as any club in the world.

ENIC are titanically fucking that up. But you have internet argument scar tissue and aesthetic leeriness preventing you from digesting that clearly. A pity.

I think most people are missing the point.

Top level Football is NOT a sport. It is a commercial enterprise. It is a TV show.

The same teams win each of the top leagues every year; whilst a false illusion of chance is created to encourage further gambling. - How many millions do you think is given to gambling companies by people who think they are backing the next Leicester miracle?

You're the one that's flatly wrong. I'm sure you'll continue to have little theoretical points on why you're right.

I don't need to worry about theory. As I provided evidence of, 3 clubs out of City, United, and Chelsea have won a grand total of 4 titles in the past 23 years. In fact, United won the 2 before so its actually 25 years.

Factual evidence proves that you're wrong.
