I wonder how someone can compare us playing in South Africa with absolutely no affiliation or ties with them as opposed to a potential owner who we have 100% affiliation and ties with?

Same as he is now a cunt. All scumbags to me , just a matter of levels . I will tell you what I wonder , it’s if Lewis was the supreme ruler of a country with total power what kind of leader he would be .
No way of knowing but his alleged behaviour in Patagonia does not give me a warm , cozy feeling about him
I’ll cross you tap ‘em in
Playing in South Africa when they were under an international sporting boycott would've been just as controversial, possibly even more so.I wonder how someone can compare us playing in South Africa with absolutely no affiliation or ties with them as opposed to a potential owner who we have 100% affiliation and ties with?
I'm the Fabrizio of TFC.

Valid point about Gattuso , but nobody on here would countenance a nonce , at least I would hope notPlaying friendly matches isn't the same as being owned by a murderous regime.
TBH I'm not actually against a takeover like this, I'm totally indifferent to it now, just like I wasn't against the World Cup but it's funny how fans are happy to justify being owned by actual murders just to win some trophies.
Seems wild to say this but I wonder if an actual convicted pedo/murderer announced he was taking over the club how these people would react, seeing as it seems like people are on the whole 'if we can't beat them. join them' vibe...I remember when there was massive uproar when the Gattuso report came out and all the fans went nuts, how comes folk aren't willing to accept him yet they want a regime who openly kill people to own, seems bizarre to me.
Seems like the moral compass shifts accordingly depending on who it is and more pertinently who potential new owner is buying ot from.

How do I make a good Tiramisu
Identify him early, then put him through the academy
So are you in para 2 above , does that mean you would countenance a nonce . I don’t think anyone here would including you , if it ever transpires someone does I’m off to another siteWell they are open to a murderer being in charge so I'm not so sure...

Chavs getting bailed out of their FFP hole by the Saudís..
Luck?
Or the flipside of buying expensive top class players at market rates ?
Why aren’t the Saudis taking our unwanted players?
I think in reality we would all love to be owned by an incredibly wealthy philanthropist, good guy . I doubt such a person exists . Say you are worth 5 billion , would you get any richer ? Surely you just do good works with every cent above that. Not sure why I picked the random 5B number to be honest . I genuinely don’t think you can be mega mega rich and be a nice guy , just to many great causes you are choosing not to help . How much is enoughHmm nah I don't actively want it to happen though although if it did happen I'm indifferent, I don't even know how I'd react. I could easily say that I'd feel pretty disgusted and stop supporting the club but as a loyal fan for almost 30 years let's be real there's gonna come a time where I'm gonna get pulled back in. let's be real - it's human nature.
I watched the WC and enjoyed it knowing about Qatar's past justifying it with all sorts of mental gymnastics but my justification was that I enjoyed it because football for me is escapism from real life which is what it's meant to be so I ignored all the politics surrounding it. That was 4 weeks though so I could easily stomach it, a lifetime of controversy though...
TBH I'm just playing devil's ad, I just want to know where people's moral compasses lie and how far they are willing to go for our club to compete.
We missed a trick BIG time back then (and Everton, to be fair) US, Arse, Man Utd, Liverpool & Everton were the 'Big 5' Arse, Man U and Liverpool sort of spent the 90's doing well (in Utd's case, it WAS the late 99s to be fair) whilst us and Everton spent the decade flirting with disaster and Cup semi-finals in equal measure! The two title challengers in 88/89 were Liverpool and Woolwich with Mickey Thomas securing a dramatic 2-0 win at Anfield that won the gooners the league on goal difference. Woolwich were the plucky underdog then just like they were in the season gone but in 88/89 they actually won the league instead of bottling at the final hurdle. So not a lot of change there.
We were big spenders in the summer of 88 with a then unprecedented £3.5m spent on Paul Stewart and Paul Gascoigne but we underperformed due to a poor start and a crap defence and finished 6th and went out of the cups in the early stages. Not a lot of change there.
I don't think there was a "Big 5" in those days but there were a few teams that "might do something" but they could just as easily finish mid-table and be out-performed by teams like Norwich or Coventry. Nottingham Forest, Everton and Manchester United are the teams I would put in that category along with Woolwich and ourselves. Liverpool were the Man City of the day. Chelsea, Man City and West Ham were nowhere.
I would say there was more room for an upset in 88/89 because there were more teams that "might do something" than teams more or less "nailed on to do something".
Is that cus him his Jewish? Can’t imagine our chairman and his weasel faced negotiations are especially welcome in Saudi
Except we never really benefitted from it... unlike other clubs who pulled the same trick! We played our friendlies in an apartheid state that kills people on a daily basis. Two sides of the same coin.

I reckon if Jimmy Savile had have been on the board at his LOCAL CLUB Leeds back in the day (and overseen some success), their fans wouldn't have grumbled too much!Playing friendly matches isn't the same as being owned by a murderous regime.

Now then , now then , nobody would tolerate Saville once they knew
