Don't get drawn into this debate with him.

He presents one side as "Levy fans" that have venom and vitriol against the other side, when the truth is that both sides are as bad as each other.
He insults one side and ignores the insults from the other side.

I'd ask him to quote my venom at him except for two things.
1) I've never been vitriolic against him
And
2) He supposedly has me on ignore.****

He will keep asking you questions, which in his head are a "gotcha", whilst at the same time ignoring any questions you pose to him.
I can nearly guarantee that he'll ask you again about Levy's pay rise.
Failing that he will put you down for not answering it.

****
If he hasn't got me on ignore, I'd love to see the evidence of my vitriol against him.

Mate, I don't know I f you're doing what you're doing on purpose or are completely oblivious, but either way, it's not my role to be gaslit and manipulated by you into having a conversation that only you want to have.

This whole thing started because I dared to suggest that our form at the end of the 21/22 season got us the CL spot and it wasn't just down to Woolwich's bad form.

You then accused me of this

"Others want to keep us trophy-less & give pay rises to our chairman for his poor performance. I don’t get that at all. You seem to.
Why would you want to keep being losers Under this chairman/owner & tell others we should be grateful & he deserves a pay rise.
Bizarre but logical to you"

And when I asked YOU to point out where I said that, rather than being a grown-up and admitting that I hadn't said that and it was perhaps an error on your part, that you got the wrong end of the stick with what I said, you have double and triple downed and have been trying to goade me into a conversation and admit to being a 'Levy Lover' so you can go around the thread talking shit about me.

Im not an idiot, I can see what you are doing, even if you cant.
Beat me to it mate.

Complains about insults from the other side, whilst hurling insults at the other side.

If that is your experience, then I'm sorry you have had to go through that. Id just appreciate being treated like me and not like someone else you have had interactions with.

If I howl at you with venom then you can lump me in with those people but I am also allowed to have a point of view that differs to yours and theirs without being put into a camp or told that I have a certain position when I don't.

That's ok, mate. It's only an online forum after all. I guess the abuse reached a new level the other day with gooner accusations being thrown around at John.
I think you'd probably agree that's the ultimate insult that can be thrown at any Spurs fan. Particularly a lifelong generational one.

The irony is, the only people I know in the real world who want Levy to stay are, as it happens, gooners and other rival fans :roflmao:

One thing I will say. The hypocrisy of the other side really is something out of the ordinary. They're quick to throw out phrases such as 'Levy Haters ' Levy bashers' etc...., but if you return in kind and refer to them as 'Levy Lovers' or ENIC fans they burst into tears like a bunch of toddlers with smacked arses! ( Shadydan Shadydan aside )

Anyway, you seem like a reasonable guy. You should stick around in the thread and see how things play out.

Then you'll see it all unfold for yourself :dierpochhug:

Yeah but you're in the jungle now brother.

Thanks for the thoughtful response. Hopefully, we all want what is best for Spurs and whilst we can't all seem to agree on exactly what that would be, we should be able to realise that a different opinion isn't coming from a place where that person wants us to fail.

Hand on heart, I, like most people want to see Levy step back from footballing matter. If ENIC are to stay, I want them to set up a system whereby experts in their respective fields are in charge of making the best decisions for the footballing side of the club.

I bare no ill will to any of the fans, players or management at the club. Not everything plan will work, not every player or manager will be a success but I will always support anyone who is a custodian of ours at any level until they aren't.

I'm just biding my time waiting for the Postecoglou bandwagon to lose a wheel.

If Kane goes it will be like Bale in 2013.

Just as the transfer window closes and the season ticket sales have been completed.

If Kane stays; I will reserve judgement until the next disaster.

You're on the list now Dudu.

Stay out of the potting shed.

It sounds to me like you occupy some middle ground. Unhappy with Levy / ENIC, But not unhappy enough to really feel strongly for their complete removal?

Like you say. We all want what's best for our club. For me, the priority of any football club should always be the football team.
I don’t think it ever has been, for ENIC and I truly believe it never will be.
We're just a vehicle for them to realise their other goals.

Good to talk.

Really must get back to work now. Enjoy your afternoon.

I didn't have time to address this earlier but here's a quote from Shady from a couple of months ago (and he posted this opinion more than once):

"If our fanbase actually acted like they give a damn and got off their self entitled asses and bothered to partake in a coherent protest towards these chumps them maybe just maybe that would at least force some change or some action, why is it the vast majority of other fanbases can come together when they're not happy with how their club is being ran but this fanbase act like Internet Gangstas and keyboard warriors."

So here's my question:

If he was a Levy out guy as he claims, why was he not first on the picket line? Why was he winding people up with this but not following through on it himself?

My bet is that he'll say that it's a pointless waste of time, which then exposes him as a fan that doesn't give a damn according to his own rules. Geographical inaccessibility doesn't count as a reasonable excuse because apparently anybody who posts a criticism on the internet is just a 'keyboard warrior' according to him.

That's why I charge him as being a fraud and a wind-up merchant who ties himself up in knots.

Yes I am trying to get you to commit to an honest answer rather than self censor yourself so not to upset some of the levy fans. So that’s my point. I don’t think asking whether levy should have had a pay rise is as sensitive or as much of a bigger deal as you view it. But you refusing to answer simple questions especially when it’s more likely to be critical of levy is very telling to me. Feels like You don’t want to have that conversation as it will mean you have to either be critical of levy or illogical support him getting a pay rise after performing badly.

Glad you agreed with Joan that there’s no need for personal abuse on either side & it’s not worth that.

& the bit where you asked where did I say that. I am making that assumption based on you not saying he shouldn’t have had a pay rise when asked. & I feel vindicated as despite asking you many times, you still won’t say “he shouldn’t have be given a pay rise”. Honestly if you think that, you won’t drop dead! I think you are turning it in to something way bigger. Just say it.
It does feel you won’t say it either because you don’t want to upset the levy lovers.
Or you genuinely feel he deserved that pay rise & you are a fan of his. It’s hard to be sure. I notice people like you tend to avoid simple questions which makes me suspicious. Especially when it’s just should a chairman have got a pay rise. I am not asking for your views on something prickly like transgender people or immigration policy.
That whole last post of yours & it all amounts to still turning a simple question in to something big & controversial when it really isn’t. I think deep down you know you are avoiding answering it for the obvious reasons I have stated.
A simple yes or no. Looks like you will never answer it. Anyway . No need to go around in circles. We have made up our views of each other. Not a big deal. Enjoy your day !

The loudest backers of post will be the ones abusing him & calling for him to be sacked like the previous few managers.

I am firmly team Shadydan Shadydan on this.

And the fact that Scott of all people gave you an agree only increases my confidence in this.

I doubt it.

The loudest backers of Ange all seem to refer to other spurs fans as poms, own a didgeridoo and eat Vegemite every other day.

They could easily become the loudest Levy outers.
I am still getting used to players having fan boys like son. Not managers too! It’s a different world now. People seem to be obsessive fans of individuals even billionaires like musk. & in a very fanatical way. It used to be a handful of big pop stars or actors. But now it’s YouTubers with no actual skill.

But my point remains if you exclude his fanatics who will back him no matter what! There’s a portion of fans who always back the new guy loudly but then equally turn nasty loudly towards them when things go south. Jose was a toxic dinosaur, then a serial winner & then a toxic dinosaur in no time.

Ps. Yes I should probably have kept ange fans onside for when it goes wrong & they become “levy out”. Although they will more likely follow him to his next team! Probably back to Celtic.

This isn't about whether I agree with what he's said or not (I don't btw) but whether I think Shady was Levy out as he claimed (I don't). But if he is Levy out then why he's saying folk who are Levy out and voicing their opinions on the internet should get out there and act on it when he clearly wasn't? It's that simple. One way or the other he's outing himself as a fraud.

I don't have a problem with anybody having an opinion on this or which side of the fence they're on. Debates are good. I just don't like frauds on the wind up.

If you're going to make a massive assumption about me you perhaps ought to read all my posts not just the ones you selectively read just because they make you all warm and fuzzy inside:

lol I don't love him, I think I just have an appreciation of where we've come from under them as opposed to where we were and the amount of bull people chat just to put him down will never not be funny to me, it's insane how many people just twist the truth and make stuff up as if there's not enough to have a go at them for and I think it's funny that people think I'm some sort of ENIC bot or Levy lover so I like to play of the narrative sometimes ;)

But I've been calling for a change of ownership for years, even before it became popular and it was turned into a meme, I think their last call of action as owners was when they delivered the stadium because that IMO would have been the end of their natural cycle but they stayed on which is understandable I guess, they're well within their rights to capitilse on their business plan, anyway I say all that to say this I'm at peace with them not leaving because they aren't going anytime soon so we just have to put up with them, no matter how much faux outrage, fake protests, internet gangsterism or noise us fans make for me there's just no point getting worked up over situation out of our control so it is what it is.

ENIC Hokey Cokey.

That should answer your question.

Just because I'm not smashing up my keyboard and acting pretend outraged like you guys do and apportioning every single piece of blame that you can muster in this thread doesn't mean I'm ENIC in which by the whole in/out thing is the most childish way to argue because it generally lacks nuance. As I said I push back against all the nonsense which is hilarious to me that people need to stretch the truth about them as if there isn't enough to beat them with a stick with.

Believe it or not, things aren't that quite deep for me when it comes to football these days so you're right actually I don't care as much about football like I once did, I am completely at the acceptance stage with them now. I'm at a point in my life where I can honestly think of a million things better to do than to protest especially since nothing is going to change and especially since ENIC will leave when they are good and ready. You obviously care more than me and good for you, you cannot and will not accept them being in charge of our club then fucking go and do something about it.

And to avoid any sort of confusion you seem to have let's get it right, posting criticism against the owners when they deserve it is more than absolutely fine. Posting constant diatribe, falsehoods, half truths, twisting things, having bad faith arguments, straw-mannning debates purely because you want to win some internet points to get one over the "ENIC in" crowd is keyboard warriorism and peak internet gangsterism.

Anyway I must get back to shining the ENIC halo until they inevitably piss me off come the end of the transfer window.

We definitely do all want what is best for Spurs, but some have to twist things or outright lie.

Fact
There are Levy outers, or Levy haters.
Some of their reasons for being so are perfectly valid.
Zomb , for example, has my complete respect for his forthright and honest views, even though I might not agree with him.

Others don't have the courage of their convictions and are just keyboard warriors typing out the same boring rhetoric.

Fact
There are no Levy lovers, Enic fans or the like.
There is not one Spurs fan who will stop supporting the club if it was sold.

Here's my question;

Why are the vast majority of Levy out guys not first on the picket line.

Some, such as Deuterz Deuterz (I think) have a valid reason.
Others that do attend games and still refuse to join are just keyboard warriors looking for likes on here
