Re booing. I'm no fan of booing players but I respect fans' rights to make their discontent heard. There were many more who chanted 'Levy out' which I think was a more effective proactive stance.

You've practically admitted that you couldn't give a damn. You are detached, by your own admission and yet you vent your anger at Spurs fans who do give shit and are very much attached to the club. You believe inaction is the best course action. I think it's pretty bloody clear based on how much attention our online and in-ground discontent was getting from the media - not to mention Levy's visual discomfort at matches - that the message was very much getting through. All you've been is a passive armchair warrior decrying fans for being armchair warriors.

I'm not going to keep going in circles with this because I've gone about this too much today. But understand this: I think you're inclined to wind other fans up for sport and you pretend to be what you're not. And I find that sad as you sometimes make decent points in other areas. And you have a decent sense of humour. But there it is.

Hi, not looking to argue or fight. Just want to explain my perspective that probably differs from you. As I have written a few times in the past I no longer believe that Enic view trophies as a priority. (Do you think they do?)
I think their long term aim is keeping us in and around the top 4 & maximising other commercial activities so that they can increase the overall asset value.
I don’t believe they are going to sell for a number of years because there are still potential revenue opportunities to exploit.

So I’m a season ticket holder, I join in the Levy out chants when I’m in the ground and post my views on this forum hoping to persuade others but I have never joined the picket line Levy out protesters & I absolutely do not hate Levy or Lewis. They just business men doing what very wealthy people do. I don’t think that makes me a hypocrite. I think I am a realist.
In my view If Levy and Enic aren’t put under pressure, if they continue to get an easy ride then they will continue to run the club as they have done with the same terrible trophy record as a consequence.
In some ways my anti Levy & Enic actions are purely tactical. Its to make them feel that the worm has turned. Enough is enough. Sort it out!!
I am certain you adore the club, how do you think we fans, as a collective, can best bring about a change of direction?

I agree with you that Levy's aim is top 4, that's his priority.
I also think that if you are a regular top 4 team then you should also be able to win a trophy or two, as other regular top 4 teams have done.
Be that "only" the FA cup or the league cup.
The fact that we haven't is not all on Levy alone.

The best way to bring about change is a sustained, peaceful full on campaign.

Shouting "we want Levy out" for a combined total of 3 minutes during a 90 minute match when we're losing, as happened vs Bournemouth, ain't gonna cut it.

We have 56,000 or so ST holders. Imagine all those people coming together to walk down Tottenham high street,. That would send a real message.
Or a mass non attendance by ST holders not selling on their tickets would send a message.

Posting the same old BS repeatedly on a football forum (not you) isn't going to work either.

Obviously we don't know the type of new owners that we'd have.
People assume that we'll get someone who'll pay £3bn for the club and then invest another £1bn in the team.
That's highly unlikely.
Knowing our luck we'll get a Glazer taking money out of the club.

I've said it before, I'm not against new owners, but I am worried about the type of new owners we'd get.

The amount of time I spend on the internet is my business and doesn't compare to the amount of time and money I could spend following the club, going to matches, going to protests so please don't act like you know the ins and outs in my life and try and use that as a 'win' against me, you don't know what the fuck you're on about.

The conversation your quoted was about protesting and what our fanbase should be doing as opposed to what they were doing at the time (booing). I argued that they shouldn't be booing the team or individual players and going after the board, I can say that because doing the former affects the team and players negatively hence why I have a strong opinion against it. These are the same fans who are turning up and paying money to watch the team, the same fans that complain about the ticket prices yet boo our players like it's their fault, that reeks of self entitlement.

This either/or shit just needs to stop, it's almost as if you struggle to comprehend that you can hold a multitude of opinions on something/someone without being on a side. I prefer to show some decency and respect ENIC who put our club in this place yet agree that their time is over and ought to move on, just because I'm not an extremist unlike some people and generally chastise them at every opportunity nor do I pour adulation about them at every given opportunity..

its not Levy's fault our second 11 can't get up for playing in the League cup/FA cup, ECL or EL and whoever was manager at these matches had to bring on the big guns
or a manager who plays an injuried Kane in CL final
Levy has made money available in last few seasons (4-5 yrs) but how much has been wasted ? GLC Nodomble
who got those cheap buys (Janssen, GKN etc) if it was Levy then he is to blame for that waste of money
Levy mostly likely is to blame for not taking a loss on the poor transfers and getting rid of them once we see its not working

Well, I for one, don't believe that Levy hand picks the players we sign.
You can say that he hires the people that do, so it's on him, but that's a cop out imo.
He hires managers, scouts etc who are supposed to know the game.
Poch was adamant that he wanted Ndombele and Levy backed his choice and paid big money for him.

Your 2nd point is a false narrative, again imo.
What concrete offers have we turned down for our poor players ?
None that I'm aware of.

On the other hand we have released on a free Aurier and Doherty, Rose if you go back a few years.
We've let Jan, Toby, Dombele, to name but 3 , go for minimal fees after years of good service.

Although it is true to say we've refused big money offers for a heap of players Deli, Harry, Dier etc.

All that being said there is no doubt, and I've said it many times on here, that our recruitment has been shockingly bad in the past.

It has changed in the past year or two (Paratici??????) and hopefully that will continue.

Well I been called plenty of not nice names by the likes of airfixx, shady, Aberdeen, steeve & the others. I am sure you will make exceptions now you know.
As Joan says we have had lots of anger aimed at us by people who I view of fans of levy/enic . Why else get so angry & abusive towards people just posting that they don’t like enic/levy? They can stay off this thread yet choose to stay on it & attack people & get all worked up & angry at people criticising levy/enic.
It’s an odd thing the levy fans claim, to being calm & happy. They are always in a mood & looking to give out hate & abuse. Angriest people I know.
