ENIC are never leaving

Levy will be running this club in 200 years time as a head in a jar
Hahaha

I almost don’t want the club sold just to block that meek little gibbon getting his share of 5BN. There is another outcome that I’m hoping for

With the 6th generational offspring of NotThatTedHughes NotThatTedHughes and Get in! Get in! telling everyone how bad things were back in the 1990's

Wealdstone are not step 5, they are step 2 or 1

Step 5 is semi pro and 5 divs below football league

Looking around it’s Interesting to see though it’s costing £10 to watch a plumber or student play football on a Saturday afternoon local to me…. Some of the younger players will have been released from professional clubs in the last couple of years I guess.

Yep. I watch the step 3 side I used to play for when they were lower down and it’s still decent. Competitive and physical, with some sharp players. Honestly there are plenty of players that could have played five divisions higher had luck gone their way. The skill gap is minimal with some, just less ‘trained’ or sharp as pros

100%. Sharp is a good way of putting it.

Speaking to guys who coach at professional level they often say apart from the fitness / physical aspect of training every day the real difference is often speed of thought / action.

Not much but that split second difference means a lot. Especially when it’s consistent.

Seriously why would they leave? This is a license to print money, once Lewis and Levy have popped their clogs, they can just leave their kids and grand-kids to crack on.

The odd top 4 finish and a trophy every 20 years isn’t that tough to achieve for a club of our wealth.
And seemingly large swathes of our fanbase content with their lot , expectations lower than a snakes belly

We've hired an optimistic coach with a bit of personality and made a few OK signings and large portions of our fanbase are back on side. It's why I can barely even be arsed with it anymore, a lot of our fans deserve the mediocrity. If we get top 4 they'll bump the Levy appreciation thread again.

You're right. In fact Shadydan Shadydan is right with his Hokey Cokey analogy.

I reckon there's a hard-core of around 20% who are genuinely desperate to see ENIC sell up.

A hard-core of 20% desperate to see them stay. (ENIC / Levy fans first and foremost)

And everyone else flipping from side to side depending on which way the wind blows.

And there's one on here that flips from side to side depending on who's disagreeing with his posts :roflmao:

Yeah I don't agree with Shady on everything but he's in essence correct. If we have a good season then a majority will be on side with ENIC again. Shit, even if the football is OK and we finish top 6 that will be enough.

Ahhhhh that certain someone is a special breed, defines the term man child.

Some of the disagrees and comments I got show up what a bunch of fucking hypocrites we have on here.

I give the club £0 pounds now. I’m done giving ENIC my cash. But we are short of at least £15m pounds next year and trying to keep Kane. That’s coming from the fans. It always does.

Let’s check facts.

Wembley tickets prices raised, then NWHL prices raised. COVID - no football staff furloughed and released, COVID - Villa game they charged more than any other club. People paid up and were happy to. Think I even saw people saying they would have pays more!!
Prices for the premium tickets are mental. Outside the reach of most I imagine. But yet people on here have happily paid them.

You all bought season tickets and memberships this summer. Nobody was that bothered about all of the above. It didn’t stop you.

At Wembley I was giving my tickets when I couldn’t go to kids at my football club who I knew had never seen Spurs at WHL and never been to Wembley. Due to money.
The prices were already way out of their reach in 2018.
It was literally a once in a lifetime moment for them.

Here I’m seeing people who can afford to go moan about a relatively small increase in pricing. The fact is you can afford it.
There are literally thousands of Spurs fans within 30-40miles of the stadium who have never been to the new stadium as they can’t afford it.

The rise of the global game and demand for tickets has seen to that.

Crocodile tears. Have a look at the bigger picture. You are part of the problem and have been paying these higher prices since 2018. If you’ve not bailed out after all the above what’s your tipping point?

If you care that much next season just don’t give ENIC your cash - but only if you are really that bothered. Someone else will take your seat anyway. It’s the way of the world.
I respect your post. But some of us do push back as much as we can.

Some examples where I have written to the club (and in fairness they have responded) are…

Stratford / Wembley / away fans in home seats / vaccine passports / covid restrictions and that disgusting 🤢 🤮 league cup final where they discriminated without rationale.

Many of the above have also involved the THST. And in the latter example the DCMS too.

So do be assured that not everyone is a content to just keep taking it up the pipe 👍

I pay my money, and as far as I can tell that enables me to have an opinion and I do try to constructively put my pov forward and what I think is right for others.

ENIC haven’t just this past week become bastards, they have been bastards from the day David Broucher made up a reason to sack Graham. Ticket prices are the tip of a very big ice berg.

The problem as I see it is, too many let them get away with it way too early.

And my ( rather emotional ) connection to Spurs rises above the owners, who won’t be here forever. Despite it feeling that way.

I told you this would happen.

Football fans are very easy creatures to work out, essentially they just want to be happy and they want to be apart of something that's why the last 4-5 years since Poch we have felt like we are in purgatory with 0 hope hence why the calls for ENIC out have grown louder.

Let's be honest though it's a load of fake noise, fans are angry because they feel like we don't have a plan or have any hope so they blame the 1 common denominator when is ENIC - fair enough I guess...but I said this before all it takes is a new manager, some new signing, a fresh start and suddenly the narrative changes and the fans will eventually quieten down and get back onside.
