ENIC In or ENIC Out

I respect your post. But some of us do push back as much as we can.

Some examples where I have written to the club (and in fairness they have responded) are…

Stratford / Wembley / away fans in home seats / vaccine passports / covid restrictions and that disgusting 🤢 🤮 league cup final where they discriminated without rationale.

Many of the above have also involved the THST. And in the latter example the DCMS too.

So do be assured that not everyone is a content to just keep taking it up the pipe 👍

I pay my money, and as far as I can tell that enables me to have an opinion and I do try to constructively put my pov forward and what I think is right for others.

ENIC haven’t just this past week become bastards, they have been bastards from the day David Broucher made up a reason to sack Graham. Ticket prices are the tip of a very big ice berg.

The problem as I see it is, too many let them get away with it way too early.

And my ( rather emotional ) connection to Spurs rises above the owners, who won’t be here forever. Despite it feeling that way.

Good for you. I think the club is very aware what they are doing. Having voices remind them it’s not right is needed

And yeah ENIC have never changed. And never will. It’s about cash money. Speculate off the pitch to accumulate. It’s worked for them.

There’s always a richer fan to aim for.

Saw a piece by Jonathan liew today. He sums it up better than I ever could.

“What is a fair price for a ticket? It is exactly what the club says it is, and you will fork it out for as long as you are able: not so much pay-what-you-can, as pay-until-you-can’t. Once you no longer generate sufficient financial value for Enic Group, it will replace you with somebody richer. Maybe that someone richer was you once. Well, circle of life and all that.”

They’d be another Enic, next.

The Jonathan Liew piece in The Guardian is very good; it calls ENIC out and puts the price hike into the wider context of British sport in general. I’ve not seen it linked here before, apologies if so…

Came in here to raise a point I saw on another thread...

Am I the only one who is ok with not having a stadium sponsor?

It's used as another stick to beat Levy with but we all know people will be up in arms with whatever name gets slapped on there.

Much prefer 'Tottenham Hotspur Stadium' going out into the world, unless someone wants to pay to rename it White Hart Lane.

Probably because from day one it was described as being a placeholder name until a sponsor had been agreed.

Nobody needs the pay to call it White Hart Lane again, the owners could do this tomorrow if they so wished.

Because everyone thinks the naming rights are worth £100M/yr and will greatly increase our transfer budget and Levy is just a village idiot that can't find where to sign on the contract.

The reality is the naming rights haven't sold because they aren't worth a lot to begin with and ownership has deemed the offers they've fielded to not be worthwhile.

If we didn't sell them before the stadium opened, I really don't think we'll ever sell them. Certainly not before 2027 when the naming rights could be packaged with the shirt sponsorship. If ENIC are going to leave, that will be the window.

You're right. In fact Shadydan Shadydan is right with his Hokey Cokey analogy.

I reckon there's a hard-core of around 20% who are genuinely desperate to see ENIC sell up.

A hard-core of 20% desperate to see them stay. (ENIC / Levy fans first and foremost)

And everyone else flipping from side to side depending on which way the wind blows.

And there's one on here that flips from side to side depending on who's disagreeing with his posts :roflmao:

Interestingly that is a very similar breakdown from countless studies about how polarised society is in general. 15-20% sitting on either side of issues, banging their drum for a cause they have become incredibly entrenched in

The difference being from your description - the middle and majority 60-70% are considered the least triggered people by nature and are absolutely willing to discuss the nuance of many polarising topics with a mind to finding a resolution and not resorting to name calling and mud-slinging. You know, being civil and accepting that each other can have different opinions without being a dick about it.

These people (of which include myself in) aren't just fence sitters without valid opinions just because we don't agree with taking sides.

I’m ok with it from the point of view that Tottenham Hotspur Stadium raises the profile of the club worldwide, rather than raising the profile of a bank or airline.

I’d be more ok with it if there hadn’t been a lot of talk about huge figures being realised when we signed off the naming rights. Can’t recall if that talk was direct from the owners or not, but it still sticks a bit that we are leaving a lot of money on the table by not having a named stadium.

Without getting in to a drawn out debate, I think it's pretty obvious you fall in to the category of those who claim to be Levy / ENIC neutral, when in actual fact you're anything but.
All you seem to do is criticise every Levy out poster you cross, while subtly and snidily endorsing the other side.
I thought I'd give you a good run before making a judgement. But I've seen it in pretty much every thread you post.🤷‍♀️
The worst type of poster, in my honest opinion. As slippery as they come.

But hey, we're each entitled to our opinions, yeah....So no hard feelings on my side

If you aren't screaming fire and brimstone in Enic's direction you're a Levy lover, a bot etc..

I thought you knew that.
🤷

All I do? Snide? Subtle?

Methinks you have your anti enic goggles turned up to maximum and read what you want from the things I say.

I'm genuinely honoured that you have been tracking me so closely :)

Maybe one of these days I'll turn you into a Levy Lover with my slippery ways.

Imagine if we get sponsorship from Winalot
....

Oh the irony lol

So ticket prices have gone up because we aren't in Europe...does that mean they'll go back down when we get European football again?

Like fuck it does, they'll probably put them up further as it'll be a more ''premium product"...

To summarise

Enic-in-out.png

We reached hysterical levels where if you're not vehemently agreeing with the extremists and smashing your keyboard in the process then you're an ENIC bot and you're very much 'apart of the problem' etc...

Nobody thinks that. You're being disingenuous.

No doubt the scouts are busily scouting (probably without a clear strategy given...gestures at the last 5 years) and some poor bastards are dealing with incessant agent enquiries, trying to sell us the next Clinton Njie from Ligue 2.

But who is actioning this information?
If it's acted upon now it'll 100% be on Levy's direction. Otherwise they are most certainly waiting for Munn, the DoF and/or the permanent Head Coach to be in place.

So we're either in limbo, or Levy is calling the shots. AKA there won't be any coherent strategy in place, and the summer will be a rush job to try and sign whoever is available. Transfers were slightly  better run under Paratici but that has now been thrown in the bin again. Any major signing in this interim is a big big risk. So most likely, there won't be any.

And Liverpool at least have a very well established coach and staff in place, so it really isn't the great comparison that you are implying.

Funny in hindsight.

We have no need for naming rights.

Presently we get the exposure and can continue looking for the right partner. Which is the one who pays what we want.

And fans will pay the extra money to go to the new stadium anyway. Been proved time and time again since we moved in there.

There’s always a way… to excuse price rises, wage freezes in business.

I imagine Levy has a big book of excuses for price raises.

The environment is money, the god is profit, it’s saints, the economisers, it’s sinners, the defaulters and profligate. In almost every walk of life now. Levy is just a well informed priest in that environment.

Pass the collection plate, oh fan of Spurs.
