So every manager is unhappy because no one gets all their targets.

Fair enough.
It's not a good plan to employ Conte and not give him the kind players that he wants, it's probably why he threw his toys out of the pram.

Then we had his assistant, sacked his assistant, and gave the job to the assistant's assistant.

Now we have an attacking coach but no DoF, and no Munn, and are still lacking a new CB with our pre season matches half way through.

And ?

I can absolutely guarantee that every single manager at every level of football wants more, and better, players.

But apparently it's only Posty that's unhappy, frustrated, can't speak out, needs to toe the line.

It's bollocks.

No manager is going to be happy, full stop.
Surely even you can see that going into a new season with the same CBs that shipped 60+ goals and selling our top goalscorer of all time would be a disaster?

There isn't a positive spin for that mate, at least I can't find one.

I also agree managers are never really happy regardless but I also understand managers rarely ever say how they really feel because it normally results in them getting sacked.

We always seem to be fucking about negotiating for too long, like we are now with a CB, I'm sure Ange wanted a new CB in by the time we played West Ham in pre-season, but now he's saying it's not like shopping on Amazon. Well we all know that but this Tapsoba deal that we're looking at has been going on for about six weeks, and we simply haven't come to their asking price.

Absolutely I agree, that Posty wants more.

But that is a completely different scenario to the one that's being put forward.

You're right, because no other teams transfers take this long .

I think Pep might be, Arteta too.

Howe is probably on Cloud Nine!

The lengths you go to defend Levy and ENIC.

:pochsmirk:

Still no Gvardiol for Pep,

Howe has brought in 2 players - Barnes for ASM and Tonnali plus they have barely shifted any of their deadwood. No depth added to their DF which is going to be a problem for them with CL football.

ETH still has no striker for the 2nd season in a row.

Poch is likely happy to a degree but likely still wants his squad trimmed right down.

Artea is definitely happy though, as I would imagine Emery is too.

Fair enough.

I didn't realise that Pep and Arteta have stopped looking to recruit players....oh wait, they haven't.

:ange-facepalm:

The lengths you go to to criticise Levy and Enic, even when the conversation wasn't about him.

They have got in their main targets though, now looking for one or two just to strengthen the overall squad.

Our main target should've been at least one CB and also to resolve the Kane drama. Still waiting on both.

There is a difference but I'm sure you won't agree.

I'm only interested in how long our club takes to fill key positions, granted we have a GK, a winger, and an attacking midfielder in good time but it's a CB that really needs to time to settle into the first team and get used to everything involved.

What's going to happen if we either don't get a new CB before the Brentford match or even if we do by then, they'd have missed the opportunity to take part in our pre-season and settle in. so our defence in that scenario is compromised?

Four or five people arguing with a Levybot as it valiantly defends ENIC/Levy against all insults against the regime.

“You” are on Ignore so can’t actually see what your programming is actually writing. But based on the reaction to your posts, it seems that AI keeps getting more and more advanced. Great to see!

You’re doing your programmer proud today Levybot version “steveee”!!!

Peps main target is Gvardiol or do you think it was Kovacic?

Yes the main difference is Gvardiol isn't really needed as they already have a number of excellent defenders on their books.

If he doesn't come in, City will still be competing for every single trophy.

We are on the other hand in desperate need of strengthening our backline. No CB and it's now 1st of August and season is less than two weeks away.

City can afford to be relaxed with their incomings and outgoings, we sure as hell can't be.

Do you understand?

I do understand, no need to be a condescending prick about it.

You were talking about Peps main target - I merely pointed out that he hasn't got his main target yet.

But I'm sure he's happy though, quite relaxed about it in fact.

He can start the season without Gvardiol, we can't afford to start the season with Dier or Davies playing and yet it's highly likely that we will.

As long as you understand that, we're good.
