I would guess we start next season with a higher wage bill than Villa but it's a valid question.

Tbh the big question for me is max wage earners. We need to be willing to offer 250k pw and above. That is what the best players ask for.

We all know that the gooners will be in the market for players like Isak, Gyokeres, and Simons but we won't...It's 99% because we don't offer top bag. Same story with chavski and Osimhen.

There is no reason left for us to be operating like small-timers trying to hang on and work miracles.

At some point, the mix of drama and controversy with short periods of feeling great won't be enough to keep fans interested, this club will need to get out of its comfort zone and bring in elite players to keep the money coming in. I'm hoping it's this summer they realize that.
I have no issue with the club targeting exceptionally talented youth; you get the likes of VdV and Udogie.

But we also need to be able to sign established, elite players that command the highest salaries (no, not the silly Mbappe ones).

For example someone like Kvara. Not that he’s available, but the club has to be prepared to go for that profile too.

Couldn’t agree more.

I’m hoping enough of the fanbase is clocking it now.

3-4 traditional spurs targets of young or just one level below the best.

But on top of that, 1 genuinely top draw recruit in a key position.

People always say this but never give names 😆

This Summer is gonna be hilarious on here

I gave Kvara as an example.

This may shock you shady, but despite having an avatar of a man holding a sausage, I’m not actually up to speed with the contractual status of attacking players across Europe’s top 5 leagues.

I’d like to think we employ someone who is. They have the names. You can ask them.

Kvara is a no go, Napoli aren't selling 2 top players in the same window in fact they're in negotiation to sign him to a new contract.

I reckon people should be able to give up some names if you want the club to target established elite players which means you must have someone in mind, I mean they're hardly gonna be a secret are they if they're established already?

So you’ve made up a new rule whereby a fan, in order to want his club to sign an established player, has to name that player?

Anyway, for the sake of argument, it’s simply about still being open to more established players. For example, if players like Sane, Felix or Raphina are available, we shouldn’t just discount them because they’re not ‘youth’.

So I doubt this guy knows what he’s saying is true but doesn’t stop it being true of everything this fanbase feels about the economic model Levy has operated for years now.

If Isak ends up being financially feasible for the gooners after finishing second and spending 100m plus on Rice, they have overtaken us again and become a bigger club.

We were ahead of them. We had more revenue than them.

There is no hiding from it anymore.

You can see a world where Woolwich go and sign Isak this summer

Can you see a world where we even attempt to sign him?

Like hell

No rule, it's just asking you to follow up on an opinion but it's cool you answered it in the end anyway.

Raphinia is definitely gettable (but Richard Arlison Richard Arlison doesn't rate him for some bizarre reason so you're gonna have to fight it out with him whether he's established or a star or whatever or not), not sure Sane is and why he's want to leave Bayern for Spurs and Felix is trash.

Exactly what I’m saying.

They have shown they have the intent to do those deals and the ability to pull them off.

Ange is in such a difficult position this summer. He nailed it with VDV and Vicario but he’s got a fanbase that has seen countless signings from that same level not work out to be anything other than average and they are sick of average.

Doesn’t mean he can’t pull off a forward version of VDV but the fan sentiment isn’t going to be good.
