I saw some stats a couple of weeks ago, where they compared ticket prices by league!
And damned if I can´t find it now(maybe someone can dig it up?). But the PL was by far the most expensive league to watch in world football.
Now I don´t remember what league came second(it must have been one of Serie A, La Liga, or Bundesliga), but the PL was more than double as expensive to watch than the league that came second.
So basically, all PL clubs could cut their ticket prices in half, and still be the most expensive league in the world to watch, and that is fucking sickening!
And everything goes down the players pockets with insane wages. And in the process making it almost impossible to get rid of the dross, because other leagues can´t come even close to matching their wages!
So something must- and probably will change in English football, now that the rest of Europes clubs have problems with their economies.
Are we finally seeing FFP coming into play as it was meant to be??? If so, I think we will benefit from it.
This is where the football regulator needs to come in. Their first port of call should be to put a limit on ticket prices.
Their new owners have been there for like 2 and a half years. Ours have been here for a quarter of a fucking century for God's sakeWhy do some think this is a good thing?

I'm honestly interested. Newcastle didn't seem to do a whole lot last season.
They went from Steve Bruce relegation fodder, to qualifying for the CL in their first full season.
They signed Isak, Guimeres, Tonali, Botman, Gordon, Barnes and Liveremento for a couple of hundred mil.
Last season they made our defacto excuse of "ooh we had a few injury winjeries" look like nothing in comparison and they still battered us and finished a whopping 2 places below us. That despite having 6 games in the Champions League and getting to the quarters in both domestic cups.
And from where they were under Ashley in less than 2 years.
It took ENIC what, 11 years to finally nail a CL place? And that was with less domestic competition for a CL than there is now.
Remember when the Covid 19 regulations were being lifted and a limited number of fans were allowed in to each clubs final home match of the season.
19 clubs either let their fans in for free or massively reduced ticket prices by 50% or more as a goodwill gesture to their long suffering fans.
One club charged full price and put the fans up in the Gods to maximise advertising revenue.
Guess which one?

Sorry to break this to you but this is a partial investment at 10% not an actual takeover, basically it's a 10% investment strictly for a future return...means that we get an immediate cash boost which we could use for infrastructure or recruitment or putting more money into the academy. I don't even think 10% will get you on the board so it's not as if the new investor will get any say in how the club is being ran, it's strictly for profit.
All it means is that the club is in a healthy position which is a good thing, if you're getting willing investors it normally means that they think that they will get a good return on their investment and the club is extremely profitable.
ENIC aren't going anytime soon anyway and we just need to get used to it, it's funny to me that fans have this pipe dream of ENIC selling up anytime soon particularly when they've got the club right when they want them to be via self sustainable wealth and money is rolling back into the club and with that stadium generating funds like it does the growth potential of the club is enormous, unless there's someone who will overpay for the club and offer something well over it's value which isn't going to happen ENIC will be here for the foreseeable and much longer than some people expect.
So yeah you can put your boners away lads and carry on crying into your Cornflakes lol...helps if you actually read and at least try and comprehend what's going on before you start pulling out the party poppers.

I still think if, and it is a big if, we sell a proportion of the club it will be to American investors. However, I doubt it will actually happen. ENIC will out price any investor as usual. There is no way they will value the club as less than Chelsea, and that's exactly what the figures being bandied about do.

Also, the other clubs got rid of their lower tier advertising and put their fans close to the pitch. Only one club didn't....
