I agree, but I think it's been 18 managers in the 24 years of ENIC (a lot more if you add the caretakers), and Poch did 4 or 5 of those years. It doesn't fill you with confidence that the people at the top know what they are doing.
Yes true but we all know this already, he's just making the point to troll us and try and leave undamaged. What the club did before he arrived or will do after he leaves is none of his business, he should be focusing his energy on beating Southampton, not spouting negative shit about the club's past.

He’s doing both - he knows he will be sacked so I’m expecting a Conte style melt down blaming the club in the next week. Will probably come on Sunday asssuming we are turned over
He's in no position to be bad mouthing the club, he's been better backed than other managers, and ones who have much greater standing in the game than he.

If anything the board have been patient with him. He has no grounds to complain or grumble.

It’s not killing attendances yet but I can see it falling off a cliff next season when Son is sold and the PL spectators F off

I guess we will cut memberships to a tenner to
Enable away fans to further infiltrate the home end and make it a neutral sports venue as opposed to a football ground. Better option would be to degrade properly. give away fans the entire South Stand

I believe that it will start & probably already has affected the “ Legacy customer” or whatever they call loyal fans . That’s probably enics dream , a stadium full of tourists & day trippers there solely to have the Premier League experience & not really caring what happens . Fans are becoming an annoyance to them , having the audacity to expect something for what they’re paying for. His statement said as much .

As you say Sonny going will probably bugger up their plans to a point so they’ll have to come up with a new attraction or trick , making membership affordable to anyone will be an option yup , one thing looks set in stone is that it won’t be the football that will bring people flocking

They don't want legacy fans or season ticket holders... they want single tickets purchased by tourists, day trippers and the away team. If Levy is not careful he will take the club into the Championship because like it or not home support does make life tough for the opposition. If our home support dwindles over the next few years due to inability to be competitive then it's the home team who will find it tough when a third of the ground is hardcore away support. That will kill the value of the club and actually might be what we need. A bit of short term pain (embarrassment of relegation) for long term gain (new owners). Forest and Villa have proven you can get relegated and come back stronger. Although we would probably fuck that up.

I don’t think, well actually we all know , bar infrastructure, levy has a long term plan . He panics when the shit hits the fan and will turn any plan on its head , the current situation, once he saw we were fairly safe he doesn’t seem too fussed how crap we are .

No fan wants their team to be relegated but to be honest , Levy , for his neglect & distain of the fans ,deserves it .

Yes he does. He didn’t get the players he wanted and they’ve brutally slashed the wage bill across his tenure.

He’s a shit coach for sure but make no mistake, it’s underpinned by an even shitter CEO pulling value levers and not leading the club

He got Vicario, VDV, Maddison, Johnson, Werner, Dragisun Solanke, Odobert, Danso, Gray, Kinsky. That's more than Conte or Mourinho got.

All 11 players he's happy with. he's not complained about not being backed with players. he's complaining about being sacked before his contract is due to end.

Tbf mate he ain't gonna turn round and say "I didn't want these players" while he's still employed.
It would be a kick in the groin to all the players involved and would probably lead to an outright revolt

Then only thing going dor this club at the moment is the premier league is so poor . The fact that forest are 3rd and Brighton , Bournemouth are in a fight for Europe . Some decent investing and no Europe next season should see us compete for Europa again . Big IFs are can we get next manager right and our recruitment but it won’t take a lot to get us up that table and competing again.

He got more players than Conte or Mourinho got. He's been backed better than they were, that's why he shouldn't grumble or complain, he's not at their level but still got better backing.

So in comparison he's been backed.

I'm not defending Ange in respect of him not being sacked.

However;

I was not on board with his appointment but my son bought into the whole thing from the off. He explained to me that Ange likes wingers who can beat their man and are rapid.

It is essential to his system working was the theory.

Ange's tactics have probably led to a lot of the injuries and the other issues, regarding the defending, set pieces, in game management and substitutions have all been exposed.

It still remains a fact that Ange has not been given the type of players he needed and he has probably been left short, in terms of quantity and quality, (Odebert and Tel instead of Neto and Eze), regarding the players he was given.

Blaming Ange for the whole mess is unfair.

Ange's downfall is a symptom of the real disease.

The disease needs to be cured.

Well Johnson is the one that sticks out the most imo, I can't read Postecoglou's mind so don't know what he really thinks but he was certainly bigging up Johnson and also he must have agreed to extend Werner's loan contract. What about Vdv and Vicario, he seems to very much approve of them, ditto Solanke.

I know it's not all his fault that we're where we now are at, but in the context of working for Levy he's been better backed than the previous few managers maybe even including Poch.

He's been provided with 11 new players, most supporters seem to agree that we should be nearer the top of the league than we are, with the present squad.

I'm not blaming Postecoglou for everything but man those tactics, and the way he's been towards the supporters.

Absolutely.

It also makes me chuckle every time I see folk saying Levy isn't entirely to blame.

Of course he isn't

Ange and Levy share the can.

As do Conte + Levy, Nuno + Levy, Mourinho + Levy, Poch + Levy, Sherwood + Levy, AVB + Levy, Redknapp + Levy.......

Anyone else spot the pattern here :roflmao:

What's the difference between a tourist and a day tripper?
