Going back to my first post here today - this idea that they'd sell because we got relegated is preposterous.

ENIC is an investment firm. The #1 rule of investing is you don't sell an asset at its lowest possible value.

There's a near 0% chance Levy will ever sell his shares, in my opinion. The club is his life.

There is an absolute 0% chance ENIC will sell when the club is at its lowest value in 2 decades were we to be relegated.

It's nonsense.

Drive him the fuck out. Don't care what it takes. Every time he comes to the stadium he should be shitting himself.

As toxic as it needs to get - he's earned it. Make every second he has to spend near the stadium a misery.

Even if they don't sell, we can still be satisfied we've done everything within our power to fight the virus.

You realize he has a suite he can watch the matches from were he to so desire? Or he could do what most of the other PL chairmen do and simply not go to many matches. Subjecting himself to the crowd isn't obligatory.

I encourage everyone to protest and express themselves. But if the end goal is him leaving, it's almost certainly futile. Best I hope for is protests encourage a change of behavior and greater financial commitment on the squad side.

Sure. As long as he knows he isn't welcome here and is hated by the fanbase that's a small comfort to me - the idea he gets to destroy the club whilst also feeling like he's a good guy makes me sick.

He clearly likes going to games. Let's take that little nugget of joy away so he can hide his face and sit at home.

The reason we’ve flopped with so many of our “expensive” signings is because we go for “B level” expensive players that are 20M cheaper rather than stumping up more money for the highly sought out players and going for the real deal first choice players our managers actually want.

Thats why these players we get are never targeted by the likes of Chelsea, Man City etc, they go for the “A side” players that are 20-30M more expensive, but ones that actually suit the manager, and so the extra fees pay off. Not to mention the more in demand players want higher wages. We’d rather pay high for transfers than high wages.

Thats why Liverpool stump up 90M for a player like Van Dyke and the player pays for itself because its someone they actually needed, their number one target and thus they have a successful career over a long period. Whereas we almost reach into a bag and buy an expensive squad like player that has no real ethos with the current manager but more about increasing the overall squad strength at the club, only for that player to flop and get loaned out anyway.

We get these more obscure players that top clubs don’t actually want, because we “cant” compete over wages for the top players.

And yet it’s been a massive waste despite the money we’ve spent because none of them turn out any good for this reason. Lets remember that these days 35-40M isn’t huge money and most of the mid table clubs are moving this sort of money around for players.

Not to mention Levy is completely protected by the media. Which other club could flop in the way Levy has and not get an ounce of scrutiny? The papers are constantly calling for the heads of Utd, Chelsea, liverpool owners in the past the moment theres a bad spell.

But Levy is seen as the poster boy of success because he built a stadium.

I think ENIC and Levy want to be THFC's landlords.

Sell off the football operation but rent the facilities back to the franchise.

No way they are taking their hands out of our pockets now.

He's running it into the ground hoping someone will buy / invest in the football operation.

A tourist comes from abroad, stays in the hotel, maybe does the sky walk, maybe a stadium tour, spends tons on Son gear in the club shop. A day tripper comes from Northampton, Chelmsford or Eastbourne to watch a Premier League match. There is usually two children in tow and whilst they won't spend much in the club shop they will buy a programme and some food and drink. I do hope that clears it up for you.
What separates a day tripper from a passionate Spurs fan that just doesn't get to go to many matches? Is that the same thing? I expect a lot of us on here come from the likes of Chelmsford and Northampton. Is your gripe that they don't chant/sing? Do true fans not buy programmes or bring kids?

I think Levy would prefer 60k tourists every match.

You’re making the mistake of thinking that levy is a good business man . He’s a property man , building off of debt . If we were to fall into the championship , he’d not have a fucking clue how to get us out of it .

If Levy see's a Championship club's wage bill he might aim to keep us there and have more buskers at the Levydome.

23 home games and the Johnstones Trophy too.

Kerching.

Remember the 40’s, with Hitler and the bombing of Britain and cancellation of the football for a period. At least it’s not the 40’s, there has been no world war during the ENIC tenure and we can be thankful for that. We are in better shape than the 1940’s.

Some ridiculous accusations about Levy tonight. Stick to the main reasons being the lack of Football success. The media are commentating about the lack of success, wage ratio and the protests and have no reason to support Levy. Wishing football failure such as relegation is not something any true Spurs supporter should wish for and as already pointed out will achieve nothing.

The 40's !!
You don't know how lucky you were mate. The 40's were a cakewalk .
I remember the 30's. Now we're talking proper rough living. The great depression. Unemployment. Grinding poverty. Boiled rotten cabbage and steamed sawdust was the highlight of our week matey. Be careful what you wish for is all I can say!

I've thought this to be the most likely scenario for some time tbh. The ultimate goal for the Levy is to land his treasured NFL franchise. If / when he achieves that, the football club takes on a much more insignificant role in the empire. It's why the "club" have this unwritten "no statue policy".

Tottenham Hotspur FC is slowly being strangled to death before our very eyes
