There will be a pot of interested parties in terms of a sale. I'd go so far to say morso than any other football club in world football. But that's because we're extremely profitable, so a lot of those parties are not the sort that most would pine for on here

Two thoughts:

1) I appreciate vinai giving an update. Thankyou vinai for communicating.

2) I don't buy this "the family have turned a new leaf" narrative. It seems to be gaslighting of the highest order having been majority owners from the beginning. Nothing has changed to suggest they suddenly want to compete with the elite teams. Also noted that a priority is to continue to grow our revenue. Unless its through negotiating a stadium sponsorship or better kit deals, it just sounds like more of the same where the real estate empire continues alongside the football. I'm disappointed that there appears to be a real possibility that a takeover doesn't happen unless a buyer makes a monumental offer.

Is Joe Lewis dead?

The Vivian Lewis stuff is Twitter rumour, unless there is a quote out there that says otherwise.

We are living under the same regime as we've always done, one of total media black out. Even in the aftermath of Levy leaving all we've got today is "sources close to the owners".

I’ve been wondering this ever since last week. Or maybe the Trust has been settled. Surely it would have leaked out had he died though.

Funny the Lewis family have been watching the same shit as us for the last 25 years ......and all of a sudden they want to do the opposite...BS

I am taking an extremely "wait and see" attitude toward this whole thing, but I find this line of argument very strange.

So much is unknown in all of this, including when and how and to what extent any such changeover of power happened, but what is absolutely crystal clear is that the majority owner of Tottenham when it was purchased by ENIC up until at least 2021 or so was not "The Lewis Family", it was Joe Lewis.

That has now changed. We don't know much more than that, but we do know that much to an absolute certainty.

Levy did all of those things (run Spurs) with the instruction and the agreement of the owners, ENIC. That is how it works, that is how it always works. Be that Joe Lewis and or his 60yr old kids (we honestly don't know the dynamic here - because ENIC are even more shtum than Levy). Levy wasn't a maverick, he ran Spurs against a strategy agreed upon by the OWNERS and they are ENIC.
You are still failing to acknowledge that ENIC leadership has changed. The Lewis kids took over from their dad and one of the first things they did was commission a review of the club, then hire a Non exec chair, a CEO and fire Levy.

Very reckless decisions from them. They should have come on here and read posts from Aiirfix, Shady and La Baguette for a more informed and objective assessment of sire’s greatness

I really think the kids wouldn’t have had the balls to “Julius Caesar” Levy if the old man was still cognisant.
Yeah, as I'd said somewhere along the line, formally legally speaking the assets being put into trust totally severs any power Joe Lewis personally had over the club.

But in the real world? People who are in the business of trust administration are not in the business of acting contrary to the wishes of still-alive billionaires, the most valuable kind of client for trust administration services.

Based on everything we know about Joe & Daniel, it's hard to believe that Levy has been unceremoniously sacked if Joe is still capable of speaking up against it.

He’s 90 now though. Surely he’s not involved that really is old as fuck

Im inclined to think this way as well. For now.
It’s fine to talk the talk, but until I see ENIC walking the walk I refuse to believe anything will truly change.

The whole thing is just so surreal and bizarre though.
It raises so many more questions than answers.
