Oh come on…. It’s been obvious for most of the last 25 years that ENIC was effectively Joe Lewis and Daniel Levy. Joe is now 88, and is no longer involved, and hasn’t been for a few years.Today in Vinai‘s Club interview was the FIRST and only time the ENIC structure has been communicated, what had transpired previously was just Twitter rumours. I openly welcome this more transparent communication.
Nothing changes at Spurs unless there is a serious, multiple hundreds of millions, invested into the Club. Zero change of personnel hides this fact, as this is what is required to move the needle (After today’s news on City then you can bet the amount of investment needed has just grown by another few hundred million as they and no doubt Newcastle will announce world record sponsorship deals into their clubs.)
Show me the ENIC or Lewis communications that detail this. In fact even now their only communication is via a new proxy, our new CEO. I’ll take that as an improvement because for the first time ever the names of our majority shareholders were named in a statement made by the Club.Oh come on…. Where does he stand on the ENIC out/in issue?Interesting useless trivia - Jerry Lee's illegitimate son, who played the piano in the Dennis Quaid film - lives down the street from me, and is sitting in his garage playing the keyboard most days on the route of my evening walk.

There's a lot we don't know, but the basic outline of it isn't that complicated or mysterious.
Levy was always, despite his own minority stake, playing Napoleon with Joe Lewis' money. He acted with a degree of one-man control he did not formally have.
It was always understood that so long as the money stayed good, Joe Lewis, the money behind the operation, would never pull the leash on him.
That proved to be true in the end, but Joe Lewis' money became Joe Lewis' heirs and assigns money, and their view of Levy's dictatorial control of their asset has proven to be rather less accommodating.
He been stuffed and I expect to see a video link of him at the West Ham game waving (his pilot and secretary having cellotaped a stick to his arm to make his arm move whilst hiding under his dressing gown) to his kids cheering them on as they turn up on mass to kick the shit out of Sullivan and Brady whilst chanting “your going home in a Bahamas ambulance”.
As my dear old gran used to say ‘You can’t educate pork!’Some of you people need to get a life. The man who made this club one of the strongest clubs, financially, in the world just stepped down, in an effort to put more emphasis on team success.
This rhetoric and bile about the man sounds like we just expelled Satan from the Vatican. He also pumped a lot more money into the team than some people make out, something he managed whilst making the "business" solid enough to do so after a one billion pound spend on possibly the finest public arena on the planet.
And yet no mark bozos who can't even make their salaries last a month slag him off as if he was a bumbling incompetent.
I would loved to have seen him spunk more money on galacticos and winning silverware, but I'm not going to ignore the fantastic work he did on keeping it British and making it a secure and financially solid club, without the support of oil wells or Russian mafia money.

Strange stadium accoustics?
I think given the numbers involved, even a smooth takeover would take months, possibly even longer. This is all bollx ...trying to give the impression they don't want to sell ...to drive the price up !
Be sold within 6 weeks .
Love that film.He was sacked, Mick....Fired,..Canned
Despite his financial wizardry we just finished 4th bottom and lost more matches than we had in like over 100 years.
Young Vivienne kicked his ass out the door

I wanted him replaced - he has been
I still appreciate what he's done for the club - even though I think he could have done more for the team
Sacked - not so sure, I can see that the toll of the abuse got to him and he had a discussion with Lewis that involved him standing down - and at his age, why would he put himself through all that shit when he's minted?
But if it makes you feel better that it was an ignominious sacking - then fill your boots.
Im feeling positive about it all. Yes ultimately we have the same owners still but something seems different. No more Levy marking his own homework for a start.
If im one of the kids of joe Lewis im not kicking levy out and pining myself as the face of the club just to put myself into the firing line unless I had big plans and changes that will impact the performance of thfc.
Everything is there apart from the team on the pitch and whilst we have spend large sums the approach has been wrong for a while and not worked.
Its nothing but gut feeling and blind optimism from me but I think now levy is gone the Lewis family will put there stamp on the club and invest heavily in the coming windows. Its the only way it makes sense and the only way the club (both value wise and performance wise) can move forwards.
I think we will see a big naming rights/sponsorship deal come in before the years up and heavy investment into the team.
The complicating factor here is The Athletic understands the shares most likely to be sold are not those of Spurs, but ENIC. The Bahamas-based company is subject to none of the takeover-related strictures Spurs are in the UK; if ENIC shares are sold, that’s rather different from ENIC selling its stake in the club.
In that sense, Spurs’ recent declaration to the market that they aren’t for sale is true — but ENIC could be sold to a new party without contradicting that, while still bringing the club under the ultimate control of someone new.

Tottenham Hotspur: How would a takeover work and what could it cost?
Daniel Levy's shock exit from Spurs has raised major questions about the club's future. Here, we provide some answerswww.nytimes.com
Yessh gobbledygook can be most misleading. When asked if Spurs are up for sale Stefan Borson said " They’re not up for sale but that doesn't mean they aren't going to be sold." Also the 2 recently reported rejected bids were not formal bids as such but what is termed as ' expressions of interest'.![]()
