Poch is levels ahead a frank.Seeing as we invest more than all but the top 4/5 clubs what buyers are capable of picking a Manager and players that are better than we have got. If money is all that mattered we should be around 6th. Apart from MC no other club has spent more than us in this window.
You want Poch to return but his profile was before us that he had managed a smaller club successfully in the PL. So last summer they copied that with another Manager that had managed successfully in the PL. You wanted Levy out and he has gone and the owners have had half a window to show things have changed. Whilst Levy clearly interfered with football decisions there is no evidence the current owners do.
The question should be why are we doing worse than many teams that have far less investment.
I honestly did realise he had been promoted after Levy's departure.Charrington snd Vivienne unless you think a CEO actually interviwed and appointed a CEO lol
I honestly did realise he had been promoted after Levy's departure.
Also as an aside . there are plenty of examples of people interviewing their replacement.
Also just did a little bit of a search and it appears that Levy was not our CEO , he was our Chairman.
Not when he was first appointed. He was Southampton Manager.
He's nipped down the basement, cracked open a 2009 Rioja to breathe and nipped into the downstairs loo to crack one out over Vinais programme notes while he waits.I bet Baldcunt's absolutely loving all this btw.
That son of a bitch.
Nice start though , now if they just fuck off as well it will be just peachyWhy do you think Vinai was bought in and for what role? If he was a former CEO of Woolwich then the chances are that he was going to be CEO of Tottenham.
It's clear that the board have changed direction and the hire goes hand in hand with their new strategy, since they've come in Cullen (Levy's right hand) has gone and Levy have gone and Vinai, that's not a coincidence.
Bang on!! Couldnt put it better ...well saidMost of us on here will be life long Tottenham fans, many of us will have also attended for decades. I do not doubt Levy went to some games as a child, as I will accept his say so, but I do doubt his commitment matched any of us. So he cannot be given a special status on that basis.
I absolutely agree with you that putting a man who openly professes his love for Arse Anal is a terrible move. Nothing that Vini has so far done disproves this. He is another ENIC stooge, this time without even the pretence of a Spurs love. Whoever put him into our club is proven to be out of touch with what this 144 year old institution means.
Back to Levy, ENIC, they didn’t build Spurs into a “big club”. Our history did that. When they took over we were, I think, the 4th most successful British club. A club that then, as now, has the second highest attendance record in the entire football league. Yes, under Sugar we hadn’t competed, why is arguable, but from a decade of difficulty, is different to a decade being no one. Chelsea were built into a big club while ENIC fucked around, City too, that Tottenham was not more successful is why ENIC get rightly criticised.
Modric, Bale and Kane ( to an extent ) were players in their prime sold at a huge profit. The football decision is to hold them to their contract and or show the intent to keep them. Levy over saw the sale of them all. And replaced them with ?
Levy was not pushing financial fair play for the benefit of everyone, he was pushing it for his employers benefit. And many clubs didn’t agree with him and he had toxic relationships with them, especially City and Chelsea, so to an extent I admire his commitment to stability. But too long, and two often he lost the argument, and in the end upstart clubs such as Newcastle and Forest were just ignoring him, so he ended up isolated, which as a whole is a shame and a bad place to find himself. Given FFP is due to change again, I am sorry to say he wasted ten years on it.
Again I do agree with you that since Kane left it has been quite good - mad as that will sound - but there is only so long this league situation can continue until we are in serious serious trouble, something needs to stop the death roll, and I think 2 loans and a couple of optimistic buys probably explains what’s gone wrong, alongside buying far too many youth prospects.
Where we find ourselves now is indeed not helped by a board full of Commerical people. And unfortunately for me, the single biggest issue of our club is not any person, but is that fucking Stadium.
It allows for others to see the football as “just another revenue stream”. It allows for others to have borrowed obscene levels of money to pay for something we probably don’t need - in its current guise, and sadly. When we were very good and our squad value was high, they managed to borrow enough to build it. Now they don’t need the squad value to be high and you can see the results. It was but a con trick.
Shame, there used to be a football club over there…
He left the club in 17th place in the league table after presiding over the most defeats in a season for over 100 yearsLevy is a lifelong Spurs fan and has been attending games since the 60s.
He left the club in a better place than he found it.
Ain't getting past my Seahawks thoughLA Rams one game away from the superbowl
How is it them kronke cunts can have two winning sports teams in two different sports.
Our cunts can’t pick a manager or buy a decent player.

Chelsea in a league of their own.
He also left the club with its first major trophy in 40 years, A champions league final, world class facilities, and 5th most expensive squad in the Prem (9th most in world football).
I recognize that the clubs dealings in the transfer market have sometimes been less than ambitious. But I would also argue that Toby, Jan, Eriksen, Dembele, Son were elite players, purchased way below market value.
Ambition was shown. Mourinho / Conte were both coups - and them coming to an unsuccessful club was unexpected. Poor scouting was the ultimate downfall - Ndombelly, Lo Celso, Gil, Bergjwin, Sanchez came in for big money - and all disappointed. The rot hasn't stopped with Solanke, Richarlison, Kudus, Simmons all failing to make any meaningful improvement.
I still think Levy and the Qatar consortium go ahead and buy out the Lewis family.
