If we ever do.

It could be more akin to Forest and Leeds going down, than Newcastle or West Ham.
Or Sheff Weds?

It's true.

I tend to think that if we get Poch or someone competent in the summer, then we should be able to finish top 6 next season in Champo. I would not underestimate the cup final effect for other teams tho. Will make it hard. We need hard bastards who are 100pc committed to the badge next season.

We have inherent advantages vs Forest and Leeds in terms of revenue even on a Champo basis.

It really grates on me every time I hear or read about us referred to as the 'mens' team. Or the manager referred to as the 'mens' head coach etc.
That's not a dig at the club,btw..I accept they have little choice.
In the UK, the only chance to start to roll back wokeness is to vote Reform.

The huge subsidy form men's football to women's is never acknowledged. Ever. All we get is factually incorrect guff about women being "banned" from playing football, or even it being "illegal".

Fuck voting for Farage and those fascist bastards.
I'll support the women's team wholeheartedly before stooping that low

We're going to lose a fuck ton of money we never expected to lose though.
That's what scares me. It's not just the TV money, Nike, AIA etc will drop us like a bad habit.

It's hard to think of a direct comparison because this is the only one I can think of where a top flight mainstay, a legitimately big club went down without a financial crisis being at the centre of it. Purely due to mismanagement.

I can only think of Sunderland's double relegation a decade or so ago. Obviously, not near our revenues or big-ness in modern times but it was purely due to mismanagement, cycling through managers, relentlessly terrible decision-making at all levels.

Some have also mentioned when Forest went down in the first year of the PL after selling off most of their better players. Before my time.

In both cases a club that had no identity and could not find any sort of capable leaders.

The frightening part is that clubs going down due to mismanagement may wander in the wilderness for more than one year, how will such a pervasive state of decay be fixed all at once?

Was asking AI about trophy winning clubs having bad times after and it came out with this...

True "next-season" catastrophes (e.g., winning Europe then getting relegated immediately) are rare—no team has been relegated in the exact same season as winning the Champions League/European Cup on merit alone (some like Juventus in 2006 were relegated post-title due to scandal while still in Europe). The most cited dramatic falls tend to unfold over a few years rather than instantly, often tied to unsustainable success or external factors. These stories highlight how difficult it is to sustain peak performance after a major European high, especially for non-elite perennial winners.

Closest I can find are Marseille...and they were relegated because of match fixing,

If they go down, especially given the circumstances, stadium etc., there is no precedent.

ENIC have made 'Spursy' a dictionary term.

My concern is that no other club has been relegated with a £1bn stadium, heavily financed by PL and European incomes.

TBF, most of us have been wanting AIA to fuck off for a long time.

Nike wouldn't drop us, they outfit plenty of Championship clubs - there'd probably be a reduction in their fees. But there's also a fair chance Spurs being relegated is something completely unforeseen and unaccounted for in the contracts.

Its greatest impact would be in future contracts. Previously we were seen as a solid top 6 bet, with regular CL appearances and a high upside. Low risk/high reward cheaper to sign on with than the other Top 6 clubs. Now we've shown our floor isn't as elevated as previously believed - that risk exposure will drive costs of future sponsorships down until we demonstrate we've moved on from this period of fragility.

Nitpick moment, doubt Farage is ever getting elected, but if he did to be honest I cannot see any chance Charles or William allow him to thrive as a facist leader, neither show any sign of monarcho-fascist behaviour. And that is the only way a facist could govern in the UK system.

( shoot the geek )

With regard the woman’s team, I suspect Kinksy’s Tuesday would be peak Mary Earps. Such is the gap in quality between men’s and women’s standards.

I don't have a clear picture of what our fixed costs may be, but if Vinai claims the financial picture is not as good as believed, are we in fact immune from a financial crisis? I don't believe anything spouted by the club these days.
If the financial picture is anywhere close to jeopardy, despite all the hundreds of millions of pounds of revenue, then it’s another reason to despite these cunts in charge.

The Royal family have zero political power. Haven't since our civil war, hence Black Rod.

Still, it certainly beats talking about Spurs and this soulless group of fucklards
