Interesting that you're bigging up Liverpool's business when their fans have been highly critical of their transfer business over the last couple of years, you tell me what their 'clear direction' has been when they've spent the whole year looking at Bellingham only to miss out on him, when they've neglected their midfield for the last couple of years etc...

You do need someone to direct scouting, yes, otherwise you end up with the muddled squad you can now see at Spurs. Paratici was making some small strides in the right direction, that's now back to square 1. This is bad. Hope that's clear.

The fucking point all along was that not having a DOF and manager for next season is stopping us deciding on a direction for the squad and preventing us from planning the transfer window when our rivals are already doing to the groundwork to get deals done.

For some reason you are denying this and saying you know how football clubs work so itā€™s no problem.

I don't think you need to look very far around this forum for people's warped fantastical views on our chairman, in fact folk have very much said that Levy is interfering in bringing players into this club so...

Well it seems like the club have an idea of who they want to bring in hence why we are being linked with certain players, you realise that Paratici was responsible for bringing in a load of staff including scouts who are still employed at the club, I don't think they need someone to tell them their role - I mean they're being very well paid by the club so I'd be surprised if they need someone to hold their hands :thumbup:

Every club have football people working behind the scenes, working every day on transfer targets, you don't need a DOF for that, in this instance we can still work on prospective targets without a DOF.

This is what many of you don't understand, you put so much emphasis on this DOF role, its hilarious, you think Levy is on his laptop like football manager picking the targets or something.

A DOF is a director of a football dept but the dept can and is still running by itself at the moment, we don't need to desperately get one in right now and it's certainly not negligent at this stage, people are hella emotional sometimes lol

No the manager will be making those decisions without a DoF in place and stop pretending you know how football clubs are run, you clearly don't.

It's obvious to everyone that we need a DOF and a manager for next season, you're original assertion is that we don't have DOF in now and you said it was neglectful which is laughable and just an emotional reaction based on how you're feeling about the club

Clubs have to set the direction and philosophy, not the DOF.

When was this the argument? Why do you even think that we won't have a DOF or manager for next season you silly man. We are talking about getting a DOF in over the next few weeks.

You are clearly selectively reading here, I've already made the point that the club are looking at players and planning for next season, just because you don't want to agree with it because you have basic level thinking and you can't objectively think how football clubs operations are ran.

Well obviously you could care less, you're the one who got all emotional in this debate and started throwing nonsensical arguments at me.

You can call it waffle all you want, it's basic common sense, just because it doesn't align with your doomsday meltdown scenario of what goes on in our club in your warped mind doesn't make it any less true and the funny thing is you haven't even put up a coherent counter argument which tells me yo don't know what you're talking about really and are unable to think objectively.
