The thing is, criticising the club for the shit they do wrong, is perfectly understandable. I get that and do it myself.

But this forum has a number of posters who just flat out make stuff up, always assume the worst when they don’t know any facts and now this recent slagging off of anything that might be good news or good for the club . I just don’t understand why you’d be motivated to do that.

If the motivation is ENIC selling, maybe take more direct action than sniggering like a wee girl when the club actually achieves something good.
It is tribalism to the worst degree. Rather than compromising or admitting that they got something wrong, no matter how small or miniscule, people prefer doubling down on their own stance.

Very easy position to take when you're constantly throwing jibes at your own club, it means you can cope better when the inevitable happens or when the club are in a perceived bad moment so you can take the 'I told you so' stance, personally I think it's a bit weak minded and pathetic but that's just me...

Nail on head with the last line btw - we're actually at a stage now of being ridiculed for being positive about your own club, Jesus wept.
PERCEIVED BAD MOMENT IS BACK

ABOUT TIME !!!!

My Chairman 💪 is spreading positivity about Levy not Spurs , sorry to tell you but Levy is not Tottenham Hotspur
It's strange how some people can't separate the owners from the football club we support, isn't it.

Many of those same people will be so quick to shit on an underperforming player or an incumbent manager....

But somehow negative comments towards the businessmen without a sporting bone in their body fattening their wealth off the back of our club is anathema and seems to personally upset them.

Someone showing more enthusiasm for a comment made by Daniel Levy 💪 than a goal scored by Harry Kane.......

Spursy?

Alan Sugar 💪

Liverpool fans Gillette and Hicks💪

Man United fans Glasers 💪

Chelsea fans Ken Bates💪

Leeds fans Peter Risdale 💪

If fans think the temporary custodians of their club are pony they don’t like it , not rocket science

I could go on for pages , suffice to say Spurs were here long before Levy and will be here long after he has cashed in his chips

Why do people feel the need to take any positive news story about the club and use it to have a pop at the club they say they support?

Whilst everyone understands that stuff like ecological awards, having a nice pitch, signing agreements with F1, summer tours, etc aren’t the most important things we could be celebrating, they are still positive things.

I just don’t know why we don’t leave the role of being arsey sarcastic cunts to oppo fans and actually give credit to the club when they do something well.

Some folk have a weird sense of what the word supporter means.

If your first thought when you read this was not “Jesus wept” or similar then fair play to you.

- During the last 12 months, we became the first club to deliver sustainability training for all players. -

I’m a piss taking cunt at the best of times and I’m sure that our players learning how to use a recycling bin was an amazing afternoon for them all.

My first thought was “well done - nice that someone at the club is doing a good job”.

Others first thought was “it’ll be fucking hilarious if I have a dig here. I’ll get some funnies from the ENIC Out mob and people will think I’m just great banter”.

If it had been another club posting this, I’d have ripped the piss with the rest of you. But taking this as an excuse to take the piss out of your own club? Fuck that shite. But we all have different ways of supporting I suppose.

I wonder if you'd have shined your light 🔦on Mike Ashley if you was a Newcastle fan :sonhmm:

My hunch is that you probably would.

I'm not being facetious here. It's a genuine question. Do you love Daniel Levy?

Depends how I feel, whether I'm ENIC in or Out hence ENIC hokey cokey, right now I'm not loving him but when we secure some players in the TW meaning we all forget about the woes he's at the top of my Xmas card list. 💪

THERE IT IS LADS

the return of the ‘perceived’ bad moment!

Exactly that.

Same thing when our fans are singing “we’re shit and we know we are” when 5-0 down after 20minutes.

Be boring if everyone was exactly the same.

And you’re right the only reason I’m aware of this is due to it being posted on here. So it definitely got a reaction from me.

That our football club at the business end of the season has this as the most positive thing to talk about also strikes me as quite sad. In my case it’s if you don’t laugh you might cry.

Some people have got to the stage where they are so anti Levy/Enic that they will wish the club fails at every turn

Any positive news / results are seen as being likely to keep them at the club for longer

The reality is they aren't going anywhere, and if they are nothing any fans do will make it happen any quicker

So in my view you either support the club or you may as well fuck off and find something else to do
Yep absolutely spot on.

I accept that the board have made some bad decisions in their time here but on the whole they are not toxic or parasites. We're a very well run club, in fact better run than the majority of football clubs in this country. There's only a few run better and it's very questionable the routes they have taken to get there.

Give me this ownership over the corrupt/bent lot of Chelsea/Man City/Newcastle etc.

Brighton, Villa, Brentford for example are the ones who are in a good moment currently but I wonder how long it will last before the inevitable downfall.

Leicester were in a good moment but look how their ownership has turned out running the club. Christ, their fans were only singing to their players on Monday "You're not fit to wear the shirt". Their owners sold some of their players on for massive fortunes but have invested fuck all because of the way they run their club. Imagine that happened with us? Oh wait it won't under this ownership because we actually have owners who think long term not go with some fans short term thinking and thank the lord they don't.

We've been sustained near the top for a great period of time which has been a good thing to be part of in recent years and I'm sure we will stay there.

Brighton will fall away very quickly, everyone says they are brilliantly run - they owe Bloom over £400m (maybe more than the club is worth).

£400m in debt to their owner......whilst consistently managing miracles in the transfer market......

If he's got the cash to float them indefinitely they may well continue to occupy the position they've attained.

For a variety of reasons they'll need to be a regular European competitor to make the situation sustainable.

It's a brutally difficult league, for everybody, including us. Nobody is secure in the station they currently occupy, from City on down. That's why it's so much fun.

You needed to call Leicester winning actual trophies a ‘perceived good moment’ rather than a ‘good moment’ to complete the ENIC apologist bingo card.

Good effort though.

They aren’t making losses now, they are profitable. That’s a legacy debt / investment like our mortgage.

Bloom is a fan (proper fan not like Levy style) and he’s a big part of why they are managing miracles - through his data team not his deep pockets
