I’ve never before subscribed to the notion that the team has to get worse before they sell but I actually think it is the only point where they will think about it.

When it gets to the point that reinvesting in the team is too costly and not worth the effort financially or mentally to get us back into the top four then that’s when they will go. At that point when it starts to torpedo their value is when they’ll bail out.

So maybe as fans we are going to have to suffer a few years of us getting worse and not being anywhere near Europe for them to go. It’s massively out of our hands that’s the most frustrating bit. Maybe it’s time for us to disinvest emotionally from the club until they disinvest financially.

I am sure this has happened already , there appears to be a complete lack of interest from most of the people I sit around in the south stand. I know many a season ticket holder that just sells their tickets for games as they are bored with it all.

I bet if you'd put our current plight to these hardcore ENIC enthusiasts this time last year they would have, mocked, ridiculed and laughed in your face and all of them, to a man, claimed if such a pathetic scenario were to unfold they'd be calling ENIC OUT! like the rest of us.

It's a lot of money but we need to give those players more than a season to judge them and their fees.

I know loads of old school Spurs that followed us home and away in 90’s that have chucked it in. Still support Spurs, end of season Two Brewers, just watch games from afar. Once apathy sets in, they won’t regularly return

No way, they would be replaced by dross and prove their worth somewhere else. Son has been below par this season but we are really lucky to have him, he could have easily played for any other top side but he stayed with us. Richie can step up and be the main man he has the attitude we need.

I think you are mad. Attitude? He works hard but the diving is embarrassing, his touch is shocking and he averages 8 PL goals per season

What makes you think Son turns this around at his age? He will score goals but his team play is poor

I doubt there’s anyone who thinks we are in a good place & is happy with the status quo but some are more subservient towards being taken the piss out of .

There really are so many similarities with the current state at Spurs & the current Government . It’s kind of a refusal to acknowledge reality . I don’t know , it’s up to them I guess , it’s a shame though that so many fans are becoming indifferent towards the club , be that online or at the ground , thousands left early last week.

We all know the reason for this , the complacency of the owners has now seeped down to the fans . Many have skipped 2 of the 5 steps of grievance & gone from Anger to Acceptance

It’s not a refusal to accept reality. It’s those kind of statements that are so divisive and just don’t help.

You are in a group of posters on here that just know they are right. They know fuck all about what’s happened and what is presently happening within the club, yet at the same time are so convinced about their own position, they feel it appropriate to dig out anyone who doesn’t agree with their opinion. And that’s all it is, an opinion. And it just happens to be one I disagree with. Things is, I accept yours with a shrug and a fair enough.

The fucking sheer arrogance in a statement like “refusal to acknowledge reality” is breath-taking and whilst there many on here that I expect that from, you weren’t one of them.

You and your brethren may be correct in everything you say, but to not accept you may not be? Fucking hell…..

He has a lot of injuries this season and we are better than Everton he could double that average with us. Son is our most talented player outside of Kane, if we put him up for sale there would be a queue of clubs ready to take him of his hands. 14 goals this season makes him our 2nd top scorer, 5 assists, the same as Kane and you're saying get rid of him!!!

I’m not digging anyone out at all , there’s a degree of bemusement but it’s up to the individual to add 2 + 2 together & come to a conclusion. As I said , some are more submissive or tolerant some aren’t

No I don’t think things were going well.

But I also don’t think Levy leaving today makes things any better. Also not sure if ENIC selling makes things better either. Maybe they would. Thing is, I’m not going to say you are wrong to have an opinion. I’m not going to say you aren’t being realistic. It’s your opinion we’d be better off? Lovely stuff.

But this constant bullshit about people on here being paid by Levy, being bots, not understanding what’s happening, etc is getting very fucking tiresome indeed.

Here’s the dirty wee secret “you lot” may be unaware of - you could, just could, be wrong.
