My concern is simple. We defended like a bunch of clowns for a lot of last season.

I’m expecting more in terms of ins and outs in defence . Sure, it may mean not focusing on buying attacking players, and attacking players are cool and shiny… but I’d be expecting the club to realise how much work needs to be done and to try and over perform on signings at the back.

Spurs owner Joe Lewis is not prepared to let England captain leave for free next year with Bayern Munich and Manchester United interested

Load of rubbish. Joe is a business man. If he said that Bayern would never increase their offer. Man Utd would match their current offer and Kane would go there. Levy would not be happy and fano would be absolutely furious. Press invention again.

I can't read the whole article because I'm not going to pay for The Telegraph website. You're probably right because how would they know what Lewis has said to Levy.

Out of interest, what part of the tweet would you disagree with?
Genuine question.

The CB thing and Kane situation I don't have a problem with, you can put that down to the chairman because ultimately the remit does fall on him, fine.

What is clearly bollocks though is 1 game at the start of July...would have been two if it wasn't or the weather.

Munn's start date was pushed back because of red tape on the City group's side, even so he is still technically working, just not being paid officially.

So really that's two things that are true and two things that are false so why is it being presented as if they are all his fault all within his control?

Over the last 10 years only three Premier League clubs have been profitable, namely Tottenham £203m, Liverpool £153m and Burnley £125m.

Also shows the last 5 years we have made a grand profit of £17m and as of 21/22 we owed £250m in transfer fees. More than anyone else in the league.
Buying players like Ndombele on the never never.

And in total over £1bn worth of debt. More than anyone else in the premier league. More than twice that of 17out of 20 clubs.

Think it’s fair to say we used to be risk averse.
Now ENIC are betting very big on the stadium.

I’m quite ignorant on matters like TV money, revenue, shirt sales etc.

Is there any expectation that the club will get any sort of boost that way in the next 5-10 years or if the club has some rabbit in the hat that we’ll sell enough Korean Son shirts to mitigate that debt?

That bet is already coming in though, look at match day revenue increases - offsetting the loans/debt and that’s excl the non football events though I’m not convinced that all goes to the FC

Short answer, no.

long answer;

Well £22m interest to pay every year. When if the events are responsible for paying that debt it’s something.
But property is where they make money.
They really don’t need to cook the books on the football club IMHO.

Personally I think ENIC knew CL football would be a struggle this decade. Especially with Newcastle coming into the mix.

Super league is right up their street. Guaranteed money. No qualification needed. Interest from worldwide fans happy to pay big ticket prices.

If it comes round again I’m pretty sure they wouldn’t want to miss out.

That's the 3rd report I've seen this morning, the other two were in The Guardian and The Telegraph

''Tottenham owner Joe Lewis tells chairman Daniel Levy to sell Harry Kane if contract is rejected -''

Ship 63 goals and fail to reach Europe.

Bring in new manager - good, solid, decent bloke - and fail to provide him with necessary new CBs for pre-season, where he has to bed-in new system and knit things together, afresh.

Out there umming and ahhing over 30/40 mil for critical players.

Fucking cunt.

Wilful neglect.

Absolute contempt towards the fans.

Shameless incompetence displayed in front of the whole footballing world.

Disgusting, open disrespect towards the new manager.

The day this bald cunt and his group of merry grifters fuck off, can't come soon enough.

More than anything, make us look like a joke club and the fans look like total fucking mugs (which, let's fucking face it... many, many are, ffs).
