Lewis head of security is supposedly quoted as saying “We are going to defend the private property with the Winchester in the hands, with blood if necessary. “ A court has ruled public access to the lake must be allowed but Lewis is pretty cozy with (I assume bribes) top level Argentina politicians so the ruling isn’t being enforced by the authorities.
Lewis estate is in a pretty isolated part of Argentina so the English language press on this is pretty light. Anyone that speaks Spanish and has time to waste - let us know what the Spanish language press coverage is on this.
I don’t think there’s anything left to defend here anymore - ENIC/Lewis seems right down there near the bottom of EPL owners on the morality scale. Although I’m sure the the Levybots will keep making excuses for ENIC and telling us why they are great .

If the owners of Newcastle and Man City are allowed then the Premier League will do nothing about the old guy.
Now, this does not mean I agree with it. It is just how it is. They allow owners who execute kids for petty crimes and kill minorities. They set their standards and they think this makes some 'fit and proper'.
The questions would be :
- Does the family trust and family members are still willing to be associated with the club after the bad publicity ?
- And then if they are ready to sell, wait a little bit and ponder if the price is ever going to be in this range for long ?
- Who are they willing to sell to ? Simply to the highest bidders ? In a process that looks like the current Manchester United sale ?

Agree - Don’t think the EPL will force ENIC to sell over any of Lewis morally bankrupt activities - The Argentina stuff has been going for a while now anyway without the EPL batting an eye.
My point was (not necessarily directed at you Mr B Bob) that ENIC rank pretty high on morally bankrupt owner table - so anyone doing “what about-ism” or arguing that we’re owned by one of the “good guys” is fooling themselves. - oh and that at least the owners of City and Newcastle have on the pitch ambition.
