I've seen you like/agree with plenty of dumb, abusive and ridiculous comments as long as they're aimed at ENIC outers, including myself.
When you make patronizing comments that basically equate to "our side are clever and yours are thick" then people are going to react badly to that. People generally don't like being called stupid. But then you will turn round after saying this and go "you guys don't debate properly, you just abuse people blah blah blah" as if you didn't just call them stupid but in a more wordy manner.
There are lots of arguments that some ENIC out posters make that I don't necessarily agree with. I have stated this on a number of occasions. But am I bothered if some frustrated fans bend the truth a bit about the insider trader? Not really, I'm not his PR rep or lawyer - he hired much more intelligent people for that.

No - what happens is exactly what happened this time. There are a series of good faith contributions and then people make a series of outlandish, dumb comments and THEN I make a frustrated comment. But let’s get the order correct because it matters. They also exist within a sea of good faith and fair comments - as you know well because I’ve quoted them at you in the past day.
The purpose of disagreeing with people who criticise Levy isn’t to defend Levy. It’s to distinguish the bad arguments from the good ones so that you have clearer and better criticisms. There’s a more practical reason too (aside from intellectual honesty) - If there is a lot of noise then those bad arguments are less likely to stick. As actually happens, people will look at you like you’re a bunch of crazies.
