That Gold tweet made me think though...
It's kind of funny, we're in our wee bubble and this whole Levy issue appears like the life and death of the club is in the balance...

On the other hand the vast majority of fans are not on Twitter or in here and either don't care or know nothing about it...other than the odd Levy out chorus in the stands...
Every single Spurs fan knows about Levy/ ENIC out.

I don’t know any that think Levy should be making any football decisions at all but not many that are motivated to protest.

Since the pandemic and lockdowns, I find lots of people are very disconnected or apathetic to issues they think of as bigger than them.

We're just getting tooled up and ready for the post apocalyptic future Sir Starmer is planning with the Bank of England.

It’s not impossible that we’ve caught United last season, which would have been unimaginable a decade ago.

Forgiving Levy’s footballing failures so often requires basically just lying about what a money spinner he’s turned Spurs into, which was his entire mission from the day ENIC bought the club.

Definitely got a little carried away with our progress. We're still gonna be well back from United in revenue for the foreseeable future.

Relative to our competition - 30M/year seems Ok (not great) - but until 2033 seems like a mistake IF the fee is fixed for the next 10 years (given inflation these days).
Can always renegotiate early and extend

best not fuck up the stadium then
Already has. I'd bet almost everything I have that he had bloody good offers on the table before covid, but he would absolutely have wanted a number bigger than anyone else.
Then Covid happened. Then we got shit. I suspect the high profile appointments of Mourinho and Conte were to try to keep us at the forefront of these deals, but he gave good mechanics broken tools.

For all of Enic's failings, I don't believe this is a fair comparison and I can't use it as another stick to beat them with.

Manchester United's commercial outreach and shirt sales are much more than ours and our deal with Nike was struck a few years ago.

As for the naming rights, as much as I don't like the name "The Tottenham Hotspur" stadium, I would rather that than "X" corporation stadium and I think it's quite a clever bit of marketing in regards to our brand around the world.

And let us be honest, even if we did have naming rights we still wouldn't spend the bloody money on some centre-backs!

The Nike deal is similar to Arseholes stadium naming deal. It was fucking huge when they signed up to it, but it never foresaw the inflation in football, so after a few years it was dwarfed by rivals.
It's exactly what's happened with Nike. You've now got players EARNING £30m a year in Saudi, let alone costing £30m. Crap players costing that now.

You wouldn't tie yourself into a 10 year salary at your job with no way out, as after 5 years you may find all your bills have shot up to such an extent you earn less net.
That's bad business in any field.

Levy is just treating Ange like shit right now, he has learned nothing from the previous 22 years.

This !

At what point does our new manager get some semblance of direction ? We all know Ange wasn't our first option ( as he does ).

It was a tough task from the get go, but the last few weeks with the Kane saga, no defensive signings etc, it has become embarrassing.

We are less than 2 weeks from a new season.
