Oh fuck my bad, for some reason had a brain fart and thought Johnson joined in the summer.. probably because of his early injury.

Actually it was £130m for the Summer and around £150m for the year (inc Dragusin)
I’m not sure what to expect.
But we need forwards and a #6 this summer. The two most expensive positions to recruit in football atm
The same as last summer probably doesn’t cut it
Fair enough.
60-70m of which was spent on confirming loan to buy signings in Porro or Kulusevski. So we didn’t buy anyone in those past windows?

I’m assuming it includes the Porro and Kulusevski fees.,£140 million net spend implies £240 million gross with the Kane fee. .
A quarter of a billion...?
108 million pounds net spend for last summer , 130 million euros i believe Dan. it needs to be at the very least doubled this time round

Has to. Some people will probably incude them again this time round
I think minimum £150m net needed plus everything from player sales. Individially might not get much but so many to go we should get another £70m, a lot more if Richarlison leaves as well. No loans to buy this time so that would give us roughly £220m to £260m depending on Richarlison. Decent amount that.108 million pounds net spend for last summer , 130 million euros i believe Dan. it needs to be at the very least doubled this time round
Yes. That feels about right. Can we not go down this road againjust let them have it.
Actually removes excuses for this summer because there isn’t a Romero/Kulusevski/Porro that can be added to inflate the net spend for the window…
Nothing less than 150m net should be accepted. Even those defending Levy budgets must surely agree on that.

There needs to be context around this, unless you're happy for the club to splash £100m on Ivan Toney or something
It's hard to say what we need to spend at the moment because no-one really know who we need and how much they are and above all else whether they'll be worth it.
Should be going into the window aiming to plug the gaps and upgrade what's necessary, how much is spent doing that really should be secondary.
I’m more interested in the profile of player we go after in fairness. Are we exclusively going to shop in the low risk section or will we be prepared to hand out a few big contracts and pay big for a player who will really move the needle for us.
Ultimately if the club thinks they’ve found that player in a cheaper option, fine. But if it doesn’t work out that way questions will be asked. There’s no reason why this club shouldn’t be able to go out, spend 100m on a player and pay them 250k a week. If they think it’s the difference maker.
i agree with that a net spend of 300 million and we go and buy 5 ndombles isnt as helpful as smart buys like Udgoie, Vicario etc.
But at some point you will need to pay more than we are comfortable with to get elite talent through the door to move us on. Eza and Olise for example would probably cost us 150 million, another somewhat proven forward probably at least 50 million then you still need a DM.
or you can roll the dice again on some young potential or mid players and hope they step up
Yes. That feels about right.
We need two front men. A 9 and some sort of winger/9 option. Those two are going to cost
comfortably over 100 million. The Werner option is the thing to watch here.
After that, maybe KWP and, for midfield, a 6 and then replace whoever leaves.
But in terms of outright spend, I think the 9/winger/6 have to be secured, irrespective of sales. Which would be about 150.
The funny thing is neither player truly fits the profile of what we actually need (Eze more so though IMO)
I don't even think we need to splash as big as that as no-one stands out at the moment.
Ugarte I hear might be available, he's someone who would be worth pursuing and splashing money on, dunno man - as of now though numbers and player values are just pie in the sky.
