Football club not a business
That was my first thought when I saw the post. Running a successful business is one thing, but running a successful football club is something else in my view. It’s nice to know that we’re not going to go bankrupt any time soon, but what I really want is success on the field in the way of wins and trophies.

The only way to get over the misery is for us to win something maybe? Even then there's still gonna be sections of this fanbase moan like crazy.
Here's the thing: the club derives the lion's share of its revenue from 2 streams - television and sponsorship.
The television revenue is based on league finish in a given year, but the underlying contract (and the next) are based on viewership. The value is calculated based on viewership of the matches, and related program which indicates interest in the sport.
Sponsorships are partially based on viewership, but also on overall marketing metrics - Social media (not just the club's accounts but how many people interact or discuss the club), talk about the club on traditional media and uptake thereof, etc. Lots of other factors at play here other than shirt sales and the like.
So if you watch, if you read, and even if you complain on the internet...you're generating pennies that end up flowing to THFC.
At the end of the day, there's simply no way we can control who owns the football club. Why waste energy on it? The only person it effects is you.
