Same for the moral superiors judging Chelsea for their clueless spending.

Chelsea will be a force again soon because they have a squad full of talent, albeit at outrageous expense.

But I don't think Chelsea fans are as concerned about the owner's bank account as spurs fans are. We're nice like that, always selfless.
It was always a misguided view our supporters as a kind of coping mechanism.

When you look at the two teams now, is there anyone from our strongest 11 that would start for Chelsea? Maybe one of Romero or VDV? After that you’re really struggling.

Let's be honest, it's the same old story every season.

Our summer window was the perfect example. No Neto or Eze cost too much. But Solanke, Gray, Odobert etc no issues because the wages are low.

Fucking sick of the penny pinching under Levy.

Not sure I believe him.who is he? No PL team bought Eze or Gallagher. Neither impressed playing for England in the summer or cement a starting place. Many on here pointed out Neto’s injury record and after Ndombele and Richie’s injury problems the last thing we needed was another player who was always injured.

I mean its not a surprise that we didn't sign him
Yet you try to make it a big deal?
because of the price tag
Again, fail to see why you have the arse?
(Fabrizio Romano confirmed this)
He's never wrong, errrrm ok.
... Not my fault you been living under a cave Spiderman.
'under a cave'? That's a new one on me.

That's exactly what it is. A coping mechanism while they bury their heads in the sand and refuse to acknowledge our own flagrant lack of ambition and shortcomings.
Rather than criticise the people responsible, they'll sneeringly mock other clubs prioritising their football team and abuse other fans who don't blindly follow their delusion.
It happens every single transfer window.

I really love how fans of all clubs know what may or may not have been discussed in negotiations with a player, that may or may not have happened.

It's genuinely quite fascinating.

Oh so Romano can be wrong now and you are right? You have the inside scoop? so I guess you know better than the most trusted football journalist in the world right?

Its genuinely quite fascinating how you think you know more :levylol:

It was obvious in the summer what a spectacular failure our window had been. It was an absolute joke. Strongly linked with Neto, Eze, Gallagher and end up with Odobert, Gray, Solanke, and Werner on loan. Yet again though, those of us who called a spade a spade were shouted down as moaners and negative.

Eze looks a good player, but off the ball he can be guilty of ball watching. Word is that Palace wanted 60+ million and Eze wanted over 200k a week.

Gallagher would have been an interesting signing. We are playing Kulu and Maddison together, and I'm not sure he is any better than those 2. I'd expect had we signed him, Bergvall would have gone out on loan. Personally, I prefer Sarr as the rotation box to box mid.

Solanke has looked good thus far. It may take some time for him to get a striker partnership going with the front 3, but he contributes all over the pitch and is exactly what our system needed - he reminds me a lot of Son.

Ignoring the awful Palace game; we have outplayed every team we have come up against. Stupid lapses in concentration have been punished and we still cannot maintain our system for the full 90 minutes. The squad needs to learn how to adapt when the other team picks up momentum and kill it. It was very clear that Palace were going to score for a good 10 minutes during the game; we were making mistakes and were sloppy. We needed to slow it down, keep the ball, play it safe and kill off any momentum.

(Is that all they got? Bloody amateurs)

Sounds like people should get off Ange’s back , we all know who is to blame here . Stick with Ange , the next guy fails and gets shafted and the next and the next etc etc
It's a fair point you make. And aside from Nuno I've backed every manager until the day they were scapegoated and took the bullet that should have been reserved for Levy himself. (Metaphorically, of course)
Something about this guy just feels off though mate. It's like we've picked some random oaf off the street and put him on the pedestal with zero credentials for the job in hand.
