ENIC In or ENIC Out

I'd say the signings we have targeted the last 3-4 seasons have been of a consistently higher calibre than those we were targeting 10 years ago.

Im not supporting them - why does my talking about something that I have an opinion about mean that I am supporting them?

I don't see the logic?

What is your obsession with trying to put people in some kind of box?

Does anyone else see that first quote anything other than praise of ENIC?

Now we are not using winning trophies or top 4 or 6 as a metric but top 10 . For some that is clearly enough , if that is what makes you at least content then fine . I can accept they have moved things on , it is also pretty clear imho they are now reversing those gains . I remain hopeful with Ange but he will have to do it despite ENIC not because of them , I believe Poch did the same .

Edit: Time for me to drop this for a while , I’m boring myself now so apologies to those who have had to read it

Not bored at all mate, enjoy a good-faith discussion.

I used top 10 as if we were using top 4 then that would back up my point even further. That being said think the 13 consecutive years in Europe is a pretty good indicator of the consistent level of where have been the last 15 years -

Are you thick. So making ANY kind of praise of ENIC means someone supports them does it.

It’s perfectly fine to say, for example, that Levy has excelled at keeping the club finances in order and boosting the clubs income and value (that’s praise) but say that he’s been a fucking useless chairman at on-field matters and therefore needs to go. (That’s criticism).

If you can’t get your tiny brain around the fact it’s possible to praise for some things and criticise for others, than I suggest you go back to school.

Was JT praising them for buying a higher calibre of player 10 years ago?

Are they?
Is Bergvall, Dragusin, Vicario, Solomon, Veliz, Odobert, Min-Hyuk a better calibre of player than what came before?
We spent nearly £50m on Bergvall and Gray and I've seen nothing to say either of them are going to become what the hype suggested.
It's the usual ENIC nonsense of buying young players in the sheer hope they become the next Bale/Kane rather than actually signing a Bale or Kane type player.

So no, we are not consistently signing better players. We have always adopted a scattergun approach and always will.

There’s been a theme of really strange behaviour from the ENIC Out mob for years now. So many things that are actual poor decisions or outright fuckups that they would have a very good case if they pointed those out. However, they choose to make shit up instead.

Does nothing but make them look deceitful or just downright simple. Very weird behaviour.

There don’t think there is a group of fans now called ENIC out mob. What it is now called is the fanbase. Those that are happy to keep them are very much in the minority from what I see, hear and read.

Ummmm, yeah for sure.

Fazio, Chiriches, Stambouli, Njie, N'koudu, Janseen, Wimmer, Yedlin, Dier,

Id say bar Solman, each player you mentioned has a higher bar than any of those above.

Every single team out there is always trying to buy the next Kane and Bale it would be fucking stupid not to.

You're being quite selective though. You're picking in a narrow point in time.

What about going back a few years more and adding Berbatov, Modric, Bale, Van Der Vart, Walker, Rose, Vertonghen, Dembele, Lloris and probably more.

There's always been decent players, mostly padded out with utter shite that never gets us anywhere.
The summer we signed Van Der Vart we also signed such giants of the game as Bongo Kumalho and Stephen Pienaar. That's how ENIC operate. The bare minimum in terms of genuine players padded out with squad fillers.
Do you honestly think Bergvall, Odobert, Feeney & Min-Hyuk will ever succeed at Spurs? Have you not seen this one before? Fan hype etc only to be totally and utterly let down.

I agree that protests are unlikely to happen and even more unlikely to have any effect.

I think the outcome this time will be reduced ticket sales in the medium to long run.

Levy is playing a blinder selling out home games with ticket prices pitched at the current level.
Keep wheeling Son out and there will be seats filled.

I have so far failed to sell tickets for Everton & Brentford. When I have been and the people around me did sell, it's always Korean fans in their seats.

Got a new Korean "star" on the way too don't forget.
And then we have the less obvious tourist fans - the Aussies. Bet there's thousands of them that will come to watch Angeball now.

Australians won’t come. You can’t drink in the stands, they’ll be fucking disorientated without alcohol.

Not quite sure we are there right now TBH - I'm not seeing that much shite padding us out - I see some areas for an upgrade (RW probably the most important) but also a number of areas where we have young players, much like the Walkers, Roses and Jans who are still learning their trade.

No team in the league isn't padded out with players that are below the bar of their best starting 11 - even City are if people like you are to be believed as to how we beat them in the cup. They have shown time and time again that without Rodri and a fully ft and firing De Bruyne they aren't actually all that.

I understand people want us to front up the dough and buy generational talents in their prime but fuck me - you're talking about competing with the top 1% of teams that have pretty much been established as the place for these players to go for as long as I can remember unless you count city or Chelsea who literally cheated their way into being in a position where they could compete for those names.

We will never get "there"

As long as ENIC and Levy are here keeping the finances ticking over nicely lots of commercial deals, lots of non football events, lots of merch etc. Happy days. For them. I'm 100% sure that now the fabled stadium has been built, is fully functional, is getting used more often, the football team will become the sideshow.

Wouldn't be surprised if at some point in the not too distant future, they stop calling it the Tottenham Hotspur stadium and start calling it The Tottenham Stadium.
