They haven't been able to convince Morgan Gibbs White that we're a better prospect than Nottingham fucking forest. A club that's spent 90% of the last 20 years below the premiership.

Or been able to outspend said club on the wages.

In the last 6 years we've won a trophy (a bigger one than the FA cup), and made a league cup semi-final and a final. So cup wise not that different.

But in the league, we finished 10th, 15th, 8th, 15th, 7th, 15th, an average position of almost 12th! Over the last half a dozen seasons we averaged just below 7th. And that's including last season which was clearly an outlier due to injuries, and an unusually heavy schedule.

We also only qualified for Europe once in that 90's period by the way, whereas we've done it 5 times out of the last 6, despite the League being far more competitve than it ever was in the 90's.

Yes the last few years have been disappointing, but it's clear, that under Levy and ENIC we're streets ahead of where we were 30 years ago.

So much wrong here. The seasons you're taking from 90/91 we finished 10th, 15th, 8th,15th, 7th, 8th. But if we are taking from 19/20 as the last 6 seasons why not not start with 89/90 when we finished 3rd?

We won an FA cup, got to 2 more FA cup semi finals and 1 league cup semi. I'd question the Europa being bigger than the FA cup was in 91, especially beating Woolwich on the way.

In those 6 years we watched Gascoigne, Lineker, Sheringham, Klinsmann, Popescu. Last 6 years its been Kane and Son, thats pretty much it.

I hated Sugar more than i hate Levy/ENIC so not grinding an axe, this isnt in praise of the 90s as it was largely average to dreadful but just the difference is pretty minimal compared to the last 6 seasons and i enjoyed more games and seasons in that spell, the 3rd place, 91 cup win, the Klinsmann season than i have the last 6 seasons.

100% agree with this... we were as shit as we are now but at least we signed top players. Klinsmann was the best striker in world football when we signed him... Popescu dripped class... played the DM role before the DM was even invented... Gazza turned down SAF for us. We at least tried to act like a big club but Levy has gaslit the lot of us into thinking he is trying to win football matches. The only results he cares about are financial one's. 17th... not a problem, we keep our PL status. Want to know who we will sign this summer... whoever gives us a marketing edge not a footballing one. Surprised we ain't making a loan move for Wu Lei, Chinese equivalent of Son. Think of the marketing potential of that one. That's what Levy is... he has built a portfolio of assets and the football club happens to be the tenant in one of those assets. If he could find a club willing to pay 150m a year for the use of the stadium he would probably boot our first team out to play in MK. CUNT!!!!

Yeah, that was because the expectation on the team was completely different, mate.

We all had more fun watching Spurs back in those days because the Premier League hadn't taken the soul out of football and people weren't fucking whinging every time we played badly or weren't competing on wages because we were not expected to be challenging for titles.
 
Outside investment, stadium naming rights, signing elite players, competing for the UCL and EPL are all utter nonsense. Nothing has changed at our club, the same conman is running the show and we just keep falling for his lies and distractions year after year.
