ENIC In or ENIC Out

Our weight class definitely has changed in the new stadium.

But we were too rich to be trophyless before and we're too rich to be sliding into a chasm beneath the top 4 now.

Hmmm, not sure about too rich to be trophyless before - one or two more perhaps sure - but we also had opportunities where the failures were not due to money - but also losing in finals and semi finals for example, to Chelsea, who we couldnt even touch with a barge pole financially back then - not sure what the expectaion was.

Either way - our financial status now is down to the people in charge and they should step aside and let someone else allow us to reap what they have sewn.

We could be the best team in the world in five years under new leadership. That's how big the gap is between what ENIC has done off the pitch and how fit for purpose they are on it.

We are richer than Chelsea according to Deloitte, yet look at how they're spending and then compare to us.

Woolwich and Liverpool only a few positions above in terms of finance, yet spending way more.

How some Spurs fans can still sympathise with Levy is beyond me.

Chelsea will finish top four along with the other big teams.

I think Poch gives an air of respectability to Levy’s tenure that he hasn’t earned . I readily admit to not liking Levy and am happy to admit that colours my judgement . However that does not necessarily make me wrong
I despise Levy but he has to take some credit for the gems signed pre Poch like Dembele, Vert, Toby etc. shame the people that were the driving force hated Levy and left

I won’t fight you on that last point.

Levy deserves credit for what he’s built but it’s outgrown him.

He’s essentially one of those mid 20’s guys who tried to date a teenager who would eventually be too hot for him and now he needs to let her go.

I don't think Chelsea should be used as a comparator for either what clubs could be doing, or what they should be doing.

Regardless, Barcelona are more than 20% "richer" (using your terms) on that dataset, but spend most of their time begging and struggling to register players.

With that in mind, I feel like your suggestion comes apart at the seams. Revenue is not wealth, or financial flexibility.

Both of those clubs are spending to the ceiling of what their revenue will allow, and we are not.

Entirely unrelatedly, those clubs are better than we are.

Barcelona have always been better. Not sure there's ever been a point where they are not.

There was a point when they were better than they are now, and it wasn't when they were absolutely maxed out on their finances.

Not even sure where the assertion comes that they are 'spending to the ceiling of what their revenue will allow' in a way that we are not. They have around €145m more in 'revenue' and aren't spending that extra all on wages. They list over €200m in 'management costs' though. A huge chunk of the rest of it is transfer costs - same as this club.

Levy is in Hong Kong with a meet & greet with selected supporters groups. Yes the world is small now with the internet but should he no be doing deals erm……..new signings

Oh lord.

Youre talking about a football issue, not a Spurs issue.

99% of fans say the same things about their owners.

Bar one, maybe two clubs in the entire country, in the last 15 years. This is what I mean by perspective, mate.
How many owners have been in charge for 25 years of a top 6 premier league income club

How many clubs have had 16 managers in 25 years

How many owners have said they were making the academy a priority and delivered 1 player of note in 25 years

Everton have just sold their womens team to themselves. As the PL zigs, Levy zags and once this loophole is closed the opportunity is gone. They just dont want to put money into the club. CUNTS!!!
