Not a big time manager. Just a manager who has got the job of his dreams so is never going to rock the boat.
It took Conte 18 months to rock the boat publicly
Jose never did until he left
Poch only got grumpy towards the end

But yeah Frank isn't bitching in a press conference before only his second competitive match because he's so small time.

Give it a rest for just an hour or two.

I wonder if there has ever been another club that’s had its supporters protest about the running of the club, on the first game of the season, after winning a European trophy?
I wonder if there has been another club that year after year charge the highest season ticket prices across Europe, consistently top ten in revenue across Europe, sit last in their domestic league on % of wages to revenue and have won one league cup and one Europa League in twenty five years.

Wrong, Conte was setting the scene very quickly and after his first transfer window he complained he never got the players he wanted. That window was weeks after he was appointed. Try again.

Not fully checked, but almost certainly not.

You going along today? What, specifically, will you be protesting about? Ticket prices? Wage ratio? Lack of transfers? Revenue too high? Lack of trophies?

What we looking to shift the needle on?

I'm still abroad right now but if I was going then all of the above except revenue too high. That's a good thing... not spending that revenue on the first team is something to protest about.

You said it seems daft SpiderSpurs SpiderSpurs , but I get it to an extent. Need to keep the pressure on through the good times as well as the bad. And it’s people’s right to protest too. I’d maybe have left it for the first game of the season. Everyone seems really keen on giving all the underperforming players a clean slate over the summer (until they have the gall to miss a penalty, obviously). Everyone keen to see what a fresh new manager can bring. Clean slates anywhere else? Nope.

Probably not the atmosphere that the manager or players are keen on arriving at the stadium into. Hopefully, the support ramps up inside the ground, as it normally does.

Did he really truly rock the boat after his first game?

I get it. You don't like frank, that's cool. But you tell us in every single post, it's fucking exhausting.
1. Look at my posts... there are plenty where I don't mention Frank.

2. There is an ignore button... now would seem a good time to use it but I'm guessing if you put everyone on ignore that doesn’t agree with you, then you would just be talking to yourself...

I added the revenue thing, as there’s always griping about GoKarts and Beyoncé on here. When that revenue actually leads to us having a low wage ratio, as in reality, we have a reasonably competitive wage bill. Not compared to the clubs that have more money than us, but the gap is closing.

The more concerts and dog food partners we get, the happier I am. Not sure any “Levy Outers” see the connection, just a chance to take the piss and complain.

No disrespect to Frank but he's been here ten minutes, has no right to tell long-suffering fans what they should or shouldn't do.

Anyway, hugely misses the point as the protest is planned to take place outside the stadium not inside.
I don’t see anywhere where he tells fans what they should or shouldn’t do.

He says the team needs the support of the fans and levy and gang are working hard on transfers.

What is he supposed to say to make you happy? That levy sucks and he loves the protest? Yeah, that’ll help his team win games.

I'm sure Frank has plenty of disagreements with players who have been identified and would love to have had more players in by now. As would we all. I'm sure those frustrations and disagreements are communicated behind closed doors.

I swear some people think this is WWE where Frank is going to call Levy out in public, before suddenly Levys entrance music hits and he comes running out the tunnel with his own microphone.

He seemed to be alluding that Burnley were a tough opponent, and that the team needs the fans support to win that match rather than a protest.

It's not quite telling the fans what to do, it's more like nudging, or attempting to persuade.

I think he'd have been wiser to just say that he's focused on winning the match, not the protest.

Just as likely he’s saying the team needs the fans to win, and by doing so, is validating how important keeping the fans happy is. And that the club should support the fans to help the team win.

He didn’t outright say any of these things, so jumping to conclusions and getting upset about something that wasn’t said is a waste of anger and directed at the wrong person.
