ENIC In or ENIC Out

Question is, who we gonna blame now when shit hits the fan!
ENIC are still in charge. Their words are hollow for me. I mean, head the family is a fraudster and a crook. Shit apples don't fall far from the tree. In saying that, I'm prepared, like 99% of us to give them a chance and see if they back up their big talk.

I'll judge next summer. But after everything that's been said by them, pressure is on for them to deliver.

I don't know what ENIC have in store but I'm not buying that BS that they suddenly want 'sporting success' as if they couldn't have pushed the club on since they bought the club.

This is why I think they will sale, they haven't had any interest in running the club and haven't put in a cent of their own money, now all of a sudden we're expected to compete after 25 years, allow it :D

They know that the Levy meatshield has worked and can be used in their favour. There's people who constantly posted pictures of charts about revenue (they know who they are) who did so in the belief that there was a big pile of money Levy refused to spend, so it's totally falling into their lap with the narrative.

I mean, that's the outcome I'm hoping for and alluded to when I said I don't take their word at face value. So hoping for the best.

I can't not see a new owner in the next 12 months. The only thing that has me worried are these external hires in leadership positions. Especially the likes of this new marketing director and Vinai. Why would you leave a long-term secure role to go into an org that might be sold in a matter of months? That doesn't add up. Perhaps they're going for (excuse the Sir Jim Brexit term) "best in class" for internal infrastructure that will remain after a sale. But that's the one little detail that worries me.

Yeah, as I'd said somewhere along the line, formally legally speaking the assets being put into trust totally severs any power Joe Lewis personally had over the club.

But in the real world? People who are in the business of trust administration are not in the business of acting contrary to the wishes of still-alive billionaires, the most valuable kind of client for trust administration services.

Based on everything we know about Joe & Daniel, it's hard to believe that Levy has been unceremoniously sacked if Joe is still capable of speaking up against it.
Whilst agree in essence, part of me thinks it’s very probable that Joe took great satisfaction in the fact his kids would act soo brutally in a business sense, given his history. Stepped up to Dad, once he’d got himself in a fix and had to sign over sharpish!

Thank God Staveley has been told 'No Thank You', so she can't come back for another 6 months. I couldn't stand the thought of her at the games.

Yeah the celebrations are a tad premature IMO, I mean ENIC are still the same company, just a faceless one or with a new face in Vinai (for now anyway) I guess people tied the failures of this club to Levy as he was the front for ENIC all this time but I'll be shocked to see if anything has changed in terms of ambition people are craving, let's see.

I’m going down the Labour Government route. Blame the previous guy for the next 5 years .

Levy left us in a terrible mess , see it’s easy with a bit of imagination. I don’t need fresh material , perfect
Not sure your metaphor works.

Levy invested in infrastructure and training, and finished with a trophy-sized bang rather than a Sunak-sized whimper?

Sorry - no politics.

So PCP are not going to bid (for now). But can return with a bid if ENIC gives them the green light, or after six months.

Dose anyone understand what PCP are doing by expressing and interest, then like the next day stating that they are not interested? What is their goal here?

I completely get the process about the code, and what has to be communicated when interested parties show their heads, and I would assume so to dose PCP. So, what's their play here?
