Whenever I read these thing I just think back to this

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/1379016/Spurs-fan-has-22m-shot-at-being-boss.html

I think there's far too many people that do act very fickle in a time when so many teams are suffocating under debt and haven't the slightest hope for Europe, never mind a new stadium.

I like football ,as in the sport .

Acceptance of "nearly" isn't my thing. It's not an arrogance thing , it's just that I've seen way too many nearlys with Enic when the logical move was to push on or retain what we had . We're a business before football club .. Yup ffp & all that shite but it'll never happen . As I believe the stadium won't either. Comparing levy to our darkest time is not a " end of " reply.

You have your opinion on levy & co but please refrain from calling people who don't agree with ur view as fickle . It's almost a holier than though type attitude. 2017, like 2012 or 2014 will come & go , I'll be amazed if we are playing at Sainsburys Park or whatever it's called .

I don't think it's that extreme, it's as bad as anyone saying we should sack any manager we have because they don't win the title. I don't see anyone lining up to buy the club and instantly build a big stadium.

I just find it so strange that people are so weird about the stadium. 2012 and 2014 came and went because of property owners, Boris, the Government and all sorts of red tape. It's odd that people say "they are all about profit" whilst remaining so sceptical that they wouldn't want an extra 20,000 seats in the stadium???

Remember that lots of "nearly" is much better than constant "no where near" - Eventually Chelsea won't have Abrahmovic and City won't have Abu Dhabi, maybe even FSG might sell Liverpool and we'll be glad that we were self sufficient and owned by a fan.

Conflicted as I share the frustration but still think they've done as good a job as possible given the circumstances. Let's not forget that a relegation yoyo team in man city came from absolutely nowhere with huge financial doping right at the point where we became a top 4 side. Not to mention Chelsea who would have done a Leeds if it weren't for Romans billions. Sadly modern football caught up with their 10 year plan. Even despite this we have been a point or a jammy Chelsea champions league win away from maintaining champions league football for several seasons now.

The stadium issue is a separate thing but apart from moving the club or breaking several laws I don't see what they could have done differently to get the stadium up by now

I'm not sure they are about profit either , until they sell up that is then it's profit for next to no investment ... Great for them of course.
There has been interested parties regarding buying the club but no one can meet Enic fantasy worth .

If levy would stfu about "top 4 "bullshit & left the manager to do his job while he ran the club & made it clear that we are a self sustaining one , then I'd be happy with it , bar the almost political waffle he excretes .

Difficult though isn't it, as he's both a fan and the chairman.

We have seen our best players over the last 10 years leave because they want Champions League football, and the fans kick off because they want CL and the likes of Modric, Bale, Berba etc. to stay.

If Levy didn't aim for top 4, you'd soon see a backlash of people thinking the owners weren't ambitious and saying that's why they sell the top players. It's a catch 22 situation.

I think the owners demanding that we be challenging to get into the CL is the only think that keeps players here without CL football - Redknapp spoilt it by showing that it is possible to finish 4th with a crappy squad, so there's less excuses for why we shouldn't be getting there.

If you think about it, even with players playing crap this season, bar a few, and Sherwood's inexperience, we're 6 points off that place even having been destroyed by the top 3 all season, and losing points to WBA, Norwich, Hull and West Ham.

Wanting Champions league is just a bull shit excuse imho, looks at verts coming to us , Lloris even. It's all about the £££ & that's it .

I don't think levy is a fan. Yup it's reported but he's only interested in 1 thing , real estate .

He was a season ticket holder before he bought the club.

I also don't think he's ever had any interest in Real Estate. He made money through the clothing company his family started and owns part of Warner Bros, Autonomy and things like Aurasma I think. He's mostly just invested in sport.

I'm quite sure he wouldn't particularly give a shit about a few flats in an area that's not exactly the prime area of London

Have u actually looked into any of the companies u mentioned? All failures , Mr Bryte was handed to him by his family .

His specialty is real estate, it's what he knows.

Again like the "who of the 7 Signings were shit" thread we have to shelve this one until the end of next season, ENICs next move of manager appointment will definitely contribute a lot to how they are defined in our history, we'll see what happens

I think it's about time Levy realised that:

1) He needs to give a manager time (in general that is)
2) There is no point in investing in a manager if you won't give him the playing staff he wants.

If Spurs had a pre-defined footballing strategy and we essentially only needed a first team coach, then Levy and A.N.DoF could choose the players, but we don't have a clue how to play, so the manager has to be listened to.

Regardless of how you feel about any of our managers, a great swathe of them struggled as they were simply ignored, or worse, Levy's hard on for "shrewd" negotiations has completely fucked up our top transfer targets.

The unforgivable thing for me with Levy is that he has managed to get all of our star players (Carrick, Berbs, Modric, Bale) to stay an extra season past where they wanted to leave, then completely failed to give them anyone new to play with. So we fail to progress and the player leaves the following season in a media shit storm and Spurs are yet again back to square one.

Regardless of his intentions, he doesn't have the footballing sense to take us to top four, regardless of the noise he makes about it.

And, is this going to stop him from selling the best goalkeeper we had in years, not to mention vertonghen ( as much as he hated) is still the only defender worth keeping in that back 4.Year after year selling our best players and bringing in (potential) and when we are on the cusp on top 4 fucking around in january. Last year and the year before a striker, this year a leftback. I struggle to believe baldy is a spurs fan when he puts a few million quid before the grand prize of champions league football.

I don't want ENIC out, I want them ACCOUNTABLE ,whether it's levy or whoever it is in that hierarchy needs to have their roles reviewed to make sure they are doing the best possible job they can. From the physio staff, to the trainers and coaches up to those who handle the transfers ( in and out of the club). I don't think it's the case they are doing enough to justify working for tottenham FC.

It barely warrants a response, but we haven't sold anyone yet and probably wont at all unless they force a move (just like all those players you're referring to)

Yeah and why would they force a move?. Do you honestly think france's captain is going to tolerate being take of the piss out when he a back 4 of naughton, kaboul and rose to work with?.

He can't do his job properly and this all falls back to baldly who can't do his job well either in terms of recruiting good enough players.
