Ahh yes , like clockwork the ENIC curse gives us a result to subdue the fans . Like a never ending vinegar stroke with blue balls the explosion is held back

We have, built a £1.5 bn multi sports and entertainment arena 😀
Corrected for context

For ENIC to reap the rewards of hosting NFL, Boxing, Concerts and other events. But a megadome in which they haven't invested a dime of their own money but is being paid for 100% by the football club you support

If you really think that stadium was built for the benefits of the football team, your even more deluded than I imagined.

Back in 2019, head of THFC’s business development Aidan Mullally stated: “It is an NFL stadium and that’s the key message. From the very start, during the design phase, we have had the NFL in mind. The anchor tenant is Tottenham Hotspur, but this is designed to be a permanent home for the NFL outside the US.”

I'm really starting to get fed up arguing with such naive people

'Breweries, hotels and restaurants' - commercial revenue key in Deloitte studypublished at 08:32 GMT 22 January

The image displays a table ranking the top 10 football clubs by revenue, broken down into matchday, broadcast, and commercial income streams.Real Madrid is ranked 1st with a total revenue of €1,161,000.00.FC Barcelona is 2nd (€974,800.00), and Bayern Munich is 3rd (€860,600.00).Liverpool is the highest-ranked English club at 5th, with €836,100.00 in total revenue. The data is presented in thousands of Euros (€'000) across all categories.

£329700 commercial income which shows how important this is to the club. However only Woolwich and not by much have less in those teams richer than us. Perhaps ENIC should withdraw the commercial income and let the football club be funded by just Matchday money & Broadcasting revenue. The Matchday money in itself also gets heavily criticised for being too expensive although less than Woolwich. See how Chelsea suffer despite being in central London by having an old smaller ground that needs modernising.

Our Broadcasting income this season will benefit from being in the CL but will drop again as our chances of repeating that by qualifying next season are low.

So who is benefitting from the Commercial interests? Yes this income enhances the value of the club in the event of a sale but in the absence of dividends being paid then it is the Football side that benefits. Without it the club would be very much poorer.

To those criticising the rewards of hosting NFL, Boxing, Concerts and other events, please explain how stopping them would assist the football operations and why the richer clubs also have substantial commercial income.

Please explain why we invest far less on our playing squad and invest a far smaller proportion on player wages than comparative clubs that don't have such income.

Nobody is criticising the fact it's used for third party events, it's the fact that income from these events is evidently not being used to benefit the football club that facilitated it all.

Rather, the football club has been exploited to further the non football related business portfolio of ENIC.

Since the money from these events started filling the ENIC pocket, the quality and depth of our squad has deteriorated appallingly. That's not even up for debate.
....which is the exact opposite to what the bastards promised,.

So what is it spent on as the amount is enormous?
There are 6 English clubs in that table and we are 5th in income. The last table I recall we spent the 6th largest amount on transfers and I think our wage bill was also about 6th. Total amounts rather than %. The reason the quality of the squad has gone down is poor football related decisions. Levy & various Managers have paid for that in losing their jobs.

What has he to do with our discussion about Commercial Income being a benefit to the Football team? The other top rich clubs have plenty of Commercial income and it is a good thing. I am not disputing the Football side is in a mess and a new LB is not the answer.
ENIC is an Investment Company it cannot make decisions, the people in charge do that. Until recently that was Joe Lewis & Levy. It now appears that 2 of the Lewis children & a son in law are in charge. Major decisions are made by the board having taken the advice of the Football people employed being Lange, Paratici & the long list of Managers. I very much doubt they have the knowledge to know whether any player is good enough.

I can understand criticising the owners for lack of Investment & for hiring the wrong Football people although the blame for that rests with Levy who you passionately fought to get rid of but not for getting as much Commercial income as possible.

If ENIC sold out and new owners came in, do you seriously want them to ditch the Commercial income, stop the concerts, ditch the NFL? Do you actually want the new owners to make the football decisions or employ so called experts to do so. They no doubt will employ different football people but these owners may also get rid of the Manager, Paratici is going & Lange will be vulnerable. I do not know to what effect Vinai has on the football side but he is not an expert and will not have the power to interfere like Levy did.

We need Commercial Income, the more the better, more concerts, more NFL etc.
